Update: your response is laughable, nothing but excuses from you, you have an answer to every single complaint against you⌠itâs the customerâs fault. You said my daughter âshouldâve followed upâ, what??!! She called many times and I emailed because YOU didnât follow up and return her call, nor my email! I guess you didnât want to be bothered, since itâd only be a $30-$60 order. Even after the long wait to get our furniture, I still told my daughter to order the cushions from you. Ironically, I told her âI doubt they could screw this up tooâ. We were trying to give you the business but you werenât interested obviously. No worries, weâve gone elsewhere and weâre very happy with everything⌠a fantastic company that appreciates their customers. I do wish you luck and I hope it all works out for you. From one business owner to another: treat your customers better, then you wonât have to pay people to leave good reviews or get your friends to âtalk you upâ.
We purchased furniture from them and it took 7 months to receive it. Two cushions were ruined by my daughterâs dog so she contacted them to buy/replace the cushions but they would NOT return the many calls so I emailed them and nobody got back to me either. She spoke to a Rep several times and each time they told her the owner would call her back, he never did and apparently the others are incompetent and couldnât handle ordering two cushions from furniture purchased from them. So my daughter left a bad review, the owner FINALLY called my daughter, but only to leave her a nasty vm message! So she called him back and said she didnât appreciate the rude and unprofessional vm, which is recorded BTW! I was present when she spoke to him and he cussed her out for âhurting his business that took years to build and the review is permanentâ. He had nerve to ask her to delete the review. Maybe they should try treating customers better! We are business owners also and weâd NEVER treat anybody so poorly. Even though it took 7 months to receive our furniture and they knew itâd take that long and they lied to us and said 4-6 weeks, and when we tried to get a refund after 4 months, we were told thereâd be a 20% restocking fee, so we waited for the furniture to arrive- 7 months after ordering⌠we didnât leave a review because there was nothing nice to say and we didnât want to hurt their business. But now the owner is being very disrespectful and verbally abusive to my daughter and that changes everything! We will be contacting the BBB and Consumer Affairs to report...
Read moreIt started out as a fantastic experience with Nick helping us at the Annapolis store. we were very impressed with the selection and Nick was very helpful and informative and we were very excited to have found a place to buy furniture for now and in the future for the three homes that we frequent. they even have a friendly and shy dog named Duke that really added to the stores charm and we spent 20 minutes talking about the Capitals game the employees will be attending soon. We were so impressed that we went back to buy another bedroom set for a different member of the household! we met Josh the owner and a number of other employees who were helpful.
While purchasing the second bedroom set Josh got in an argument with a group of people who had come in to look at furniture after he was inappropriately rude with a two year old child that was acting out in the store. The child's mother became understandably upset. We didn't feel what Josh had done was inappropriate enough for us not to do business with him but it should have been cause for concern because it foreshadowed what was going to happen with our experience later.
The day that we received our furniture the delivery men were exceptional and did a great job but there was a misunderstanding over the amount of payment. when we called Josh he was wildly rude and inappropriate. He belittled a number of members of our family when they called and continued to act unprofessionally even after a number was decided upon.
we told him we were very disappointed because our experience had been so great up until that point and informed him we had planned on purchasing many more pieces of furniture for years for the other three homes and he was indifferent and rude before telling us he didn't remember who we were when we met him in purchasing thousands of dollars in furniture.
needless to say although the prices were good the customer service, treatment and organization of this group is subpar and it will be worth spending money to have all of those things that come...
Read moreI was looking to buy a dining set and after visiting some of the other furniture stores in the area that fit my budget (and not finding anything I really liked) I gave AB&F a try. I had seen their roadside signs and Craigslist ads so I figured why not. Initially I thought maybe they had a large warehouse space that might've had a showroom of sorts setup, like most other furniture stores, but not the case...it's just a smaller warehouse space that they have and only a few pieces of different type of furniture stocked in there. Not even really set up in any fashion. They did have a few catalogs each with a large variety of furniture that could be ordered, and I was a little leary of buying something this way without seeing it first...but I had all the measurements I needed and they did have some tables on hand that I could use as a reference.
The staff was extremely helpful and let me take my time browsing the catalogs...no pressure or anything, but did answer any questions I had. I ended up placing an order and opted to pick it up myself. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive; not even 3 weeks had gone by and my dining set arrived. When I went to pick it up, they loaded it up into the truck for me and I was on my way. The product is great! I'm enjoying my new dining set already.
Overall my experience was excellent. You'd really need a very good idea of what you want if you go there; if you're looking to "try before you buy" this may not be the place...
