House of Hair — Local services in Annville

First of all they scheduled me at 6 when I told them they are located 30 minutes from my house and I get off work at 5:30 (I work from home) I told them that’s cutting it close and that I might be 5 minutes late because I don’t always get off at exactly 530. The receptionist said that will be fine. A few weeks later on the day of my appointment exactly what I said would happen, happened. I called them letting them know that I was almost there exactly 6 minutes away but I was going to be 5 minutes late. All of the sudden that was no longer okay and they were almost not going to take me until I begged them to take me when originally I told the receptionist this would happen and she said it wouldn’t be a problem. They let me come in and proceeded with my blonde highlights which I was excited for but they came out terribly. There was no difference in my hair and not what I asked for at all. The hairdresser could tell I was disappointed and she brought out the hair extensions that she was going to add to my hair to show me that it would look more blonde when she added them in (which it did not. You can’t see any blonde in my hair) I stayed optimistic and a week later I came in for my tape in extensions and they looked good but they cost me over $800 which is ridiculous. They told me they would schedule me for 2 months out which is terrible because hair extensions need to be maintained ever 4 weeks. So now today (2 months later) I’m on my way to the salon and I even left early but I got stuck in tourist Hershey park traffic and this was the first day it was bad. I called them letting them know the situation and they told me I would be fine and I should still come in. Just a reminder it is a far drive! So I kept driving and once I was almost there the receptionist called me and said Larissa would not be able to take me even though they told me originally it was not a problem. The receptionist told me they wouldn’t be able to get me in till the middle of August and at that point my hair will be so far gone, it will grown out and matted and completely damage my hair. I am giving them one star because although the extensions themselves looked good every other aspect of my experience at this salon was terrible. Don’t let the comfy, chic aesthetic fool you this place is nothing special and they are over priced and it takes to long to have you scheduled. I found another salon that took me in immediately because they felt bad because of the experience I had and they are fixing all of house of hair’s mistakes tomorrow. Thank god! I hate this place and will NEVER go back and I do not recommend this place to anyone. It’s you’re decision if you go or not but good luck if you do! Edit: one more thing to add, I forgot to mention they told me several times that to move up the extensions after two months it would cost $150 but then the day before my appointment they told me it would cost $200 and I asked if they were sure because they told me several times it would be $150 but not surprisingly of...

My wife went to house of hair for the first time.She wanted her hair colored and highlighted and of course styled. She left there with her bangs still in her eyes they told my wife they can't layer her hair. And my wife left there with just highlights at her ears no place else and her grey hair still every it normally is and the charged my wife $325.00 yes that's not a misprint and when I talked to Heather on the phone she said that I threatened her because I was gonna take her to magistrate court because she don't do refunds and she doesn't have time to correct this because over the phone she said I have soccer practice to go to tonight for her child. Horrible disgusting service my wife was so embarrassed she cried. The young girl that cut her hair said she can't later my wife's hair but my wife has a full head of hair and has been getting it layered her whole life....
