This review is 1 year over due. First off, Portia and tony? THANK YOU! chefs kiss all around. Now don't get me wrong, Yes they are strict and rightfully so. during clinicals my blood pressure must have been through the roof every single day haha. Also I cant lie I almost hated to see them coming around the corner in those white lab coats, and the surprise skill questions while on the floor running around trying to keep my bearings and sanity did nothing but stress me out. I say all that to say this. When state exam time came I walked into that testing facility with my head held high and more than confident I aced both tests. I did. I got a full time job soon after passing state, and also doing registry and when I tell you working at all those facilities my acquired skills that Portia and tony instilled unto me have never left. I find myself sometimes sharing learned knowledge to other cnas that they themselves never learned to do. That speaks volumes on the teachings of my instructor's. You are a reflection of your teachers and mentors and because they trained me well beyond my expectations I got promoted in 5 months to be in social services while still keeping my cna job elsewhere. The sky is the limit once you get through the storm clouds. Id do it allover again if i could. MUCH RESPECT TO TONY...
Read moreMy experience with PASS Institute was wonderful! I’m not going to lie it was a bit intimidating at first when it comes to clinicals, but that is very normal especially if this is an introduction to your career in health care and also these are people’s lives we’re dealing with. Tony and Portia work very hard to make sure their students understand the skills and concepts. They also make sure you can perfect them in order for you to pass your state exam nice and smooth! The facility we did our clinicals hours at was very clean and organized compared to other facilities in the area, and I felt like I got a lot of hands on experience when working with the residents. I feel it gave me a glimpse of what it will be like to be a future nurse and will be an experience I will always be grateful for! Thank you Portia & Tony you guys...
Read moreThis place is very strict for the CNA skills exam. If you miss a step (not even one in bold) THEY WILL FAIL YOU. So make sure you come in being able to demonstrate 5 skills knowing each and every step. I don’t agree with that. I don’t know why they make it so hard to be a CNA when there’s a shortage. Failed me because they said the mannequin wasn’t in supine position because it was laying on a pillow?! Of course I filed a grievance but it got rejected, what are the chances of evaluators admitting they were in the wrong for...
