Spoke 'n Things is a wonderful, funky little bike shop. A real gem for a place like Ark City. Spoke 'n Things easily rivals bike shops I have frequented in Lawrence, Leavenworth, and Fayetteville. They have a very wide selection of bikes and trikes for both youth and adults. They have accessories and gear including helmets, clothing, bike shoes that clip onto your pedals, and foods and drinks. They carry all sorts of tires and inner tubes. Additionally, they have a workshop in the back where they can perform repairs or customizations. Spoke 'n Things has an entire skate shop section where you can build a skateboard and they have some skat shoes. Also some curios like recumbent trike and some sort of bmx looking trike for stunts or something. I talked with Allen about building a custom bike for my wife, and he assured me that they have used frames that I would want, also have many of the other pieces I would need, and can order the rest if necessary. The workshop guy was friendly, and Allen in the front was also very personable. I got 2 inner tubes for my fixie, they seemed a little pricey at about $10 each, but I will definitely be coming back.

Michael is a great mechanic! He was able to translate my nonsensical dreams for my vintage road bike into reality, including tires more fit for the brick roads in Winfield, and completely changing the handbrake placement. Turn around was quick and my bike feels 10x better. Super recommend! (Also, look at that bar tape wrap job, so slick!)

The small town bicycle repair shop used to be a fixture, but is increasingly a rarity. This place has been in business over 20 years and offers a wealth of expertise and repair services that is hard to find in such settings anymore. we had an inexpensive bike from a big box store that needed attention. He took care of all our concerns and noticed a few extra things to tweak, for an affordable price and with a quick turnaround time. The shop opens at noon, but the owner is usually available in the mornings. Really pleased with the service and will definitely come here next...

Just needed a flat tire fixed this morning. We are from out of town. Would have taken all of what, ten minutes to do? In that ten minutes I could have guaranteed I would have found $50 to $100 worth of stuff that I would have purchased from you, in addition to fixing the flat. But you said you were too busy. We were the only people in there with you! Busy?...
