Absolutely the best hat shop that I have ever been to! I stumbled upon this hidden gem just by searching for some local shops that would be able to re shape my hat- I thought it looked a little too large on me. I got my hat earlier this year at a commercialized hat shop. I picked out a rodeo king 5x beaver.. and it looked awesome and had very nice felt but after while I just wanted something a little more suited for me. And to be honest I felt the hat I got was a little too large for my face type. That's when I took it to fauxy furr!

Right away Jac could tell that the hat was a too large for me and it had been fit wrong for my head shape. She explained how it could have been fit better if the store whom I bought it from had noticed my head shape. The good thing is she was totally willing to help me and make my hat work! She was able to take almost a whole inch of height from the top of the hat and she also trimmed the brim- so it wasn't as wide. She also made me a custom hat band to match my belt buckle! I had such an amazing experience, I went to their warehouse to pick up my hat and was just amazed at the effort Jac and her wife put into this business! I had no idea how much of an art form it is to make hats and let me tell ya.. they've mastered it! I was able to wear my hat to Thanksgiving dinner and everyone was complimenting it:) So do yourself a favor and head to downtown Arlington and ask for Jac at fauxy furr! I can't wait to go back eventually to have a hat made from scratch😀 don't waste your time at any other shop... this is the only one you need to go to!

This review is LONG overdue! First let me say, I had one of the BEST shopping experiences of my life with FauxyFurr Vintage. I remember every detail like it was yesterday. I discovered FauxyFurr at the Portland Blues Festival in 2019 and see this beautiful wood cabin-lookin' pop up shop with these gorgeous feather hats on display out front. Jac catches my eye and welcomes me into the shop with open arms. Every piece seems to tell a story... Jac opens up about their story (SO CUTE BTW, I encourage everyone to read the story on their website) and explains the design process. I wasn't planning to buy anything at the festival this day, but how could I not?!

I picked out these black cut-short boots that just so happen to fit me perfectly. For the boot band I chose this lustrous green snakeskin belt, coupled with a layer of black and green rooster feathers, with another layer of these GORGEOUS Lady Amherst pheasant feathers on top. This was so fun!

I mentioned to Jac that I had a work trip coming up the following week and was pretty nervous to meet my new coworkers. She worked with Jill to rush order my boots. What?! THANK YOU JILL! I was so excited to strut my one of a kind boots in the big apple.

When I received my boots in the mail, I cried a little bit LOL They were even more gorgeous than I imagined. Every time I wear these out I get so many compliments. I can't help but smile when I think back to this experience. Jac and Jill, thank you for this one of a kind experience. I'll never...

After a years long search for a wide brimmed hat and ending up with a closet full of hats I didn’t like to wear; I found myself browsing the wide selection of styles of hat at Fauxxy Furr in Arlington, Wa.

I was helped to try on many different styles and ultimately decided to use thier custom hat service.

The process was so much fun and educational. Many measurements of my head were taken and lots of questions about style were asked and explained. Soon, i had a hat “felt” ordered.

Once my hat was ready for fitting and final styling, I made another appointment and spent a lovely hour or so in the “fitting” workshop, with Jac, the master hat-maker, making sure the hat fit my head perfectly as well as my personal style.

If you need/ want a hat, I would highly recommend you stop by to try on the many different styles they have in inventory. If you don’t find what you want/need, then a custom hat may be just the things for you.

I never thought I would spend the kind of money I did on this custom hat, but a quick look into my closet shows I had already spent 3x as much on hats I never wear.
