KH Art & Framing — Local services in Arlington

I have been using KH Art & Framing for years but have never left a review. After just picking up two framed military commendation awards ( a medal and a letter), I am stunned by the quality of their service. I just hung both pieces, and they look beautiful! Those commendations were received 48 years ago - so my only regret is not having gotten them framed sooner.

The two framed pieces were framed with the identical framing and matting - with the exception of an additional gold trim around the medal and it's associated commendation. The framed letter sits below the frame with the medal - and the two of them together look stunning. I believe the matting was a very dark Navy, and it looks great.

Most importantly, now having the medal commendation out of it's vinyl binder and the actual medal out it's box - the two frame display brings back wonderful memories and a tremendous sense of accomplishment during a short period in my life that brings great pride to me.

Many thanks to Jimmy and his son (who helped me when Jimmy was out) and also to Kenny. The handcrafted work they do is timeless and will last generations. If you ever thought of getting something special framed, do it now - don't wait all these years like I did. Take it to KH Art and Framing, and they will do an incredible...

I needed a new piece of glass for frame, stopped in KH and within 5 minutes I had the glass and was on my way (at a reasonable price). A few days later I returned to have staples put in (that hold picture in the frame) and the very pleasant man did it immediately and told me to have a nice day .. no charge. I asked him if they had personnel that could assist in selecting frames, etc., and he very kindly said they certainly did and had 32 years experience. Before going to KH Art I went to Art and Framing Expo in Bradlee Shopping Center (the same frame was broken) and the owner told me they could not fix it, but suggested a new frame, he would give me a "deal," etc. I took the frame home and fixed it myself w/Hard as Nails (perhaps not the professional method, but it works great). Also, had nearly the same experience at Art & Framing Plus in Springfield Plaza. I think both of the latter places are owned by the same company/person. Anyway, I will absolutely take all of my future...

My heartfelt and Christmas-happy thanks to the kind folks at KH Art & Framing Arlington for granting us a huge favor on a duck-drenching Thursday before the holiday. We needed a small 8"x8" white matte cut with a slightly smaller than 6" square opening to fit a frame which will display a hand-crafted (my wife's work) piece of art that will be a present under the tree in Fuquay-Varina, NC. I called KH Art and Framing because they are known for their quality and service to artists, photographers, and purchasers of artwork. Despite the fact that I didn't reach out to them until late in the morning, they had the matte cut and packaged for my pickup at 3p.m. as the rain poured down across Arlington and the Washington region. To top it all off, they did the work gratis--not a sou would they take, nor a dollar or a dime..."Merry Christmas" was their reply to my offer to pay. That was a holiday tree-topper if ever there was one....
