This church has a very welcoming atmosphere, between the welcome table full of coffees and snacks to the staff member that took extra time to meet us (with a Community Life Branded tee shirt on- hello mega church ) and the staff member pointed out the diversity of the church. (awkward when he points to a mixed couple next to you- could you not ??)
They played a 5 minute YouTube clip of their worship team- seriously?! When I googled the church that video was the first to come up and we were just thinking seriously?... Why does your worship team need their own recording studio and album?
The pastor seemed like a Southern pastor (fitting when you consider where he is from) and mentioned more than once Senators he came into contact with throughout his message. This may be a positive, considering the area we are in, their church website even mentions that his wife led a Bush Whitehouse Bible study group.
They didn't do communion here which is just weird because other reviews say this church is "biblical" but by avoiding weekly communion you're in direct contradiction with the original church.
Awesome message today about interacting with people outside of your comfort zone and listening to God's messages no matter how subtle. There were the friendliest of people. I'll go back when I have to, but I'll continue to search for a church home in the area with more Biblically...

Now almost four years later, I look around and see that my core community is filled with friends I’ve met at CLC. Their life groups are so welcoming and make it so easy to get plugged into the church as a whole. I found friends and community in similar life phases as me through their young adults life group (C3) and found wisdom and maturity from all generations through many of the other life groups I have attended. If you are looking for Christian community to grow with and do life with, I would highly...
Read moreWe have found a great community here. C3 was a great place to start as a couple moving back to the area and looking to get plugged in. I have volunteered with student ministry for 3 years and it has been so life giving. I love those kids! Bill and Lisa are very approachable, Julie has poured into me, and I have felt supported by other areas of the church like prayer ministry (thank you Victoria and Paul!). If you have kids Andy will make you feel welcome immediately and I have cherished his support over the last three years. One of the best parts is the worship team- they are phenomenal, but it’s not over the top such that I feel the meaning and purpose is lost. This is a genuine church with a...
