Been a while since I’ve been back to this place, pre-Covid was last time. So decided to come in on a Friday night at 9pm and sit at the counter.
Service - 1 star. As I was walking to the counter a guy asked me what I wanted to drink before I even sat down. Geez man…. Let me get settled in and look at the menu first before I order a drink.
I chose a soda. $4 for a soda.
Drank most of it before the food arrived and was like a quarter full. Not one time did the waiter refill my glass. He came over during the meal and asked how everything was and I paused for 15-20 seconds to see if he would notice my drink being empty and nothing. He just walked away to go play on his phone somewhere.
3-4 other waiters passed by me at the counter while I was eating and never thought to ask or take my glass and do a refill. 3-4 of them are just sitting around at tables playing on their phones. Way too many staff here if not busy, cut them so they could go.
The Manager is eating at a table and looks like he doesn’t want to be here either.
The attitudes and overall service of the staff is just lackluster and way below average. They need some serious training on how to take care of customers and teamwork. Seems everyone is just lazy and concerned about themselves here.
Awful service.
Food was ok….. gyro platter was average, fries average, salad was average.

He said, "Well you can get french fries (Isn't that the same thing) corn and rice, spinach and corn or fruit but that will cost extra." It's weird because I figured a diner of that magnitude with such an enormous menu would have more options for vegetables then what I was offered. What I definitely noticed was I was not offered to make The Omelette larger in substitution for not getting aside or a discount in price because I was not getting a side order. Anyhoo, my omelet was completed in no time and I was out the door. Now keep in mind I literally Live 2 minutes from the diner and when I got home and started eating my omelette I noticed instantly at best it was slightly warm. Not hot not very warm but slightly warm. Which brings me to the price. The omelette with whole wheat toast and zero sides was $14.30. Plus a $5.00 tip (because I never stiff the waiter or waitress for an issue that management needs to address) My grand total for a single slightly warm omelette was $19.30. For that kind of a price I should have just gone to Whole Foods and bought a filet mignon and cooked it myself. I really couldn't be more disappointed with my experience this evening at the diner. This day forth I will spend my...

The cake display case in the front had a water leak and instead of fixing it, they placed towels on the floor to catch the leak, it was also covered with duct tape to fix some damage, how about fixing it or buying a new one.
Now the food, we had breakfast, 2 of us...very bland. I paid extra to get a fruit cup instead of home fries and there was a $3.00 up charge...i expected it to be a nice fruit cup. The fruit cup came in the smallest bowl and only had melon, cantaloupe and grapes...for the price you would think it would be more and the fruit did not look freshly cut or made.
We both had cranberry juice, both came in the smallest glass and the charge was $4.00 a glass. Lastly, my bill for two meals was $50.00, I do not mind paying for good food, however, this food was not good and not worth $50.00. I will not be back...I was on my way to First Watch, however, they had a 30 minute wait, so I decided to go to Metro 29 diner....will never do that again, I will go to First Watch and wait...the quality of food is much better and I may spend $50 at First Watch, however, after eating their food, I feel the money...
