Wow, this store is packed with inventory, the majority of which is stacked precariously in unnavigable aisles. Imagine a hoarder with a warehouse... The majority of their items are not labeled with prices. This would make you feel like perhaps you were at a flea market where deals abound and prices are low and negotiable. You’d be wrong. Upon finding an item, you bring it or show it to the store owner who will research the price. The woman in charge was rude and had a nasty aura and her poor attitude was very off-putting. I had spoken to her the day prior about the item I was after and she gave me a price rate for the items of 350-650 dollars for a complete unit. Upon arrival, her lowest end item was 500 and the high end items were over 1000!!
Classic bait and switch.
A sign in the warehouse stating “make it easy for the customer to spend his money” is clearly a remnant from the previous business that occupied this space. I had two pages of legal pad worth of items to purchase today and I intended to possibly spend several thousand dollars. Unfortunately, the buying experience was so painful, I left empty handed and shall not return. Visit Second Chance Inc. in Baltimore instead, it’s...
Read moreThis might have been the oddest shopping experience of my life. There are a lot of treasures in here, definitely something for everyone. However, like many others have said, the experience is sketchy and inconvenient. You have to take pictures of what you like. Many things are piled on top of each other, so I felt nervous, even touching them. At the end, you bring the woman at the front desk, who is a very unfriendly, a list of your photos. She writes them down and then looks on the internet to see about pricing. This process took about 15 to 20 minutes, while we stood there awkwardly waiting for her to come back. Then she comes back, tells you to take a picture of the pricing and contact her with any questions. She told me to Venmo her if I’d like anything and walked away. It was just very odd, very unwelcoming and very very inconvenient. I wish I would’ve looked at reviews before I wasted my time here. There were definitely some items that I would’ve loved, but ended up walking out empty-handed mostly due to the process and the insane prices for some items that weren’t even close to being in...
Read moreI refuse to do business here for the following reasons 1.) Items are not priced. Consumers have to wait for the owner or an employee to make that determination "when you are finished shopping". God forbid you are wanting to inquire about multiple items or wish to continue shopping after receiving a price and make a second inquiry. 2.) I understand that this business is located in a sketchy part of town (huge understatement) and no doubt theft is an issue, but, judge your audience or relocate to a better part of town. I do not need to be followed around unless the person trailing me is knowledgeable and has the autonomy to provide the asking price of an item I am potentially interested in purchasing. 3.) Owner is condescending, ill-informed, and frankly rude. Do yourself a favor and either shop for salvage items on-line or purchase from a company that can at least pretend to appreciate...
