Boutique Royale — Local services in Asheville

I'm not from Asheville, I'm from Wilmington so the sex shops there are lame, so when I went to this one it was absolutely amazing! I've been to Night Secrets in Hickory, NC as well and yes this store is smaller but I feel it's less overwhelming because of that and that the owner is more selective in the merchandise she puts in this store. With that being said, the selection on products are not substandard. There's a very good selection and plus sized women you are not left out with collars and lingerie! There's a good variation to choose from. The collars can be tried on before buying but I recommend asking first! Please be respectful! The shop owner is so friendly and so is the staff she and her partner have selected to help run the place. They are very welcoming and non-judgmental and with the questions me and my friends kept asking, they were very patient to answer. Now this store does have a clothing side as well that's not lingerie. I loved it! It screamed out to my inner goth/elder emo girl and yes again they have a plus sized selection to choose from. I highly recommend these two shops if you are a native to the area or just stopping in for a visit! I neglected to mention they have an online store as well and I'll be honest, I have been attached to my wand that's been better than the Hitachis for years but there's this one in particular that not only is made with high quality silicone (more hygienic) but is more powerful than mine! So it's not like I'm just leaving this review for fun, I'm going to buy that toy! They did promise their online store would be making improvements for those interested. As I said, meeting the owner was wonderful, she was very friendly, with me being in retail for 10 years I know good customer service and her store was very clean too and yes for the regular clothes there is a fitting room. Today was my first time in and I cannot compliment this place enough! There were two ladies working who were very welcoming and just made shopping here so comfortable and fun. I needed some opinions and help picking some things out and they without hesitation, jumped right in to help me figure it out. Not to mention, I overheard a conversation with the ladies and manager/owner (I believe), one of them had asked about opening the store the following day and he literally replied saying he didn’t want to overwork her and basically respecting her personal time MIND-BLOWN. You don’t find a lot of management really looking out for the well-being of their employees let alone tell them there’s no need to be overworked. To me, this just shows what a great atmosphere it is. What a kind soul. The boutique is very cute, has awesome employees, a great variety of products and management who CARES. I will definitely be going back. Thank you ladies...

I had a FANTASTIC experience here. I came in around 9pm, with my boyfriend and his buddy, and I was trying to find an outfit for an even we were attending that same night. The woman and her husband (and their adorable dog) who own the store could not have been more helpful and inclusive. She explained EVERYTHING TO ME, and helped me find something that I felt confident in, that fit well, wasn’t too revealing and yet still showed the parts that I wanted. I was trying on outfits (that she helped me pick out), and felt comfortable enough to walk out and show her myself in lingerie (normally I would NOT be comfortable with this).

I wish I knew her name, but I have to say that she was one of the most knowledgeable and assistive workers I have ever met with. I also want to note that they have a TON of stuff… whatever you can think of… they have it.
