Took the kids to watch Dan da dan: the Evil Eye, anime special. First I need to address this movie. For someone who hasn't ever really understood the pop-culture or styling etc... I have to say I was completely blown away. It was so good, so riveting, and contained just the right elements, and I finally got the idea of not holding emotion back. Not sure what that's actually called in anime but it really worked to drive the film. I didn't even finish a quarter of my popcorn and drink I was so into the screen. Daaaayum, that good. I'd never heard of this particular theater but went and was equally blown away by the facilities, concession variety, employee niceness and quick attendance. The movie was on time with a nice an dark environment to enjoy the film. The sound system in theatre's NEVER disappoint. I'm a huge audiophile having about 15yrs of car audio and home entertainment installation under my belt dating back to the old school late 80s days, and the system in this theatre is big bucks good. I didn't notice any of the symptoms of an underpowered or inferiority setup, no clipping, all channels were well supplied and supported with placement you'd expect from a quality crew who did the install. The entire frequency range throughout your usual high, mids and lows are supported with plenty of power and are tuned in nicely to bring in all 3 sectors to provide possibly the fullest and richest spectrum of sound to catch even the most nonchalant or nuanced cuing that the films score and underscore provide. If your A/V facets are not supporting one another, you may miss vital stimuli meant to instill specific emotions or create suspense and fear things like that for the film to be perceived how it was meant. I'm also a well cultured film afficionado of sorts. This complex DID NOT disappoint and is this families new home for our family...
Read moreAmazing place. Me and my family came in to watch The Flash with our boys, my husband and I are both Deaf, there was an issue with captioning devices which was not news to us (this happens way too often than you’ll realize) however, George, the manager, came in and tried to assist in fixing the issue. My husband and I was both fed up with the struggle of trying to enjoy movie with my family and not being able to watch the movie with the captioning devices. The manager assured that he would get the issue solved and he invited us back for a family night, after several conflicts, we finally were able to come back and watch the flash movie. However to our surprise- it was an open captioned movie meaning the movie had captioning in the movie already rather than having to use a caption device. We were very pleased with the manager making sure that we were having a great experience. My boys loved the movie and truly enjoyed the experience. If I could give 10 stars I would. My hats goes off to the manager for making sure our experience went great the second time around. At the end of the movie- manager informed us that he was going to attempt offer open captioning more frequent for the Deaf movie-goers, and he just informed us that it will be offered now at the movie theatre! Thank you so much George, for making...
Read moreThis theater used to be such a nice place to see a movie, but I can’t say that anymore.
The screen is my major concern. There was a giant water stain on the left hand side of the screen. During the darker scenes, it wasn’t really noticeable, but could be seen in lighter scenes. Who wants to go to a movie and stair at a stain in the screen? I don’t.
The sound system also sounds like it could use some updating. It doesn’t sound crisp and I noticed that the sound seemed to come mostly from the right side of the screen.
The seats are in serious need of replacement. Almost every one of them in the theater I was in has cracks. Some of them had such bad cracks that the foam padding was showing.
The ceiling had some times that had obviously broke due to water leaks.
I noticed that you can’t get refills on pop and popcorn like you can at the other theaters around.
I am pretty sure this place is locally owned, and i I usually like to support locally owned businesses, but I cannot recommend that you spend your money here. The other theater in town is so much nicer and clean. If stadium seating is your thing, go...
