Disappointing, to say the least. Scheduled a remote repair for my fiance's iMac.. slow loading/performance issue. Mark said he'd be able to fix it with a simple clean-up.. $60. I listened to the entire phone call on speaker while he was exploring her computer. Within the first 5 minutes of the call, he was already stating that it's a mechanical hard drive and he is sure that's the problem - that it is overloaded (not the problem - it's a 1 TB drive with oodles of empty space because she stores everything on externals). Nonetheless, he spent the next 25 minutes exploring, and adding programs to her machine.. on the allegedly already overloaded hard drive.. mumbling in half-sentences throughout. "Painfully awkward" is the best description I can give of his apparent people skills and communication. After half an hour, my fiance asked directly if he was able to fix it remotely as he had said in the scheduling call. He replied that he could not - that she needed a new hard drive, which she could purchase at Best Buy and he would schedule to install for her. So she asked if adding more programs was going to slow the computer even more, and why we were going through this if the conclusion was that she needed a new hard drive. His response was to hang up on her. That's not the end.... About 5 minutes later she received a text message from him stating that he was still going to bill her the $60 because he diagnosed the hard drive as the issue, and giving an excuse that he experienced a death in the family last week. She responded expressing empathy for his loss, but told him directly that she would not be paying him $60 for his failure to deliver on his promise, especially considering that he hung up on her hyphen that his professionalism is absent. He responded stating that she was out of line for asking him a reasonable question, and that there was no reason for her to reply because he would be blocking her phone number now. On the lack of professionalism alone.. take your computer repair issue to someplace better. Do...
Read more1st of all, know this is not a shop but someones home. My computer came out worse than before. Lost all my favorites/bookmarks even tho I had told him they were not saved and NEEDED them. took several trips to go pick it up and when I would arrive, it would not be working... the guy is nice but its hard to understand the computer lingo and texts he sent left me clueless. Also the house smells of cat pee, really badly and it was hard for me to be in the space. He was going to still charge me for the "work" but I opted against paying when I lost so much data and time driving back and forth for the computer to be with out so much data that was work related. Wished I had gone to the big shop and paid big bucks to not...
Read moreI needed a quick, good, and cheap repair to my computer. I'm a broke college student lol. Mark was very nice, diagnosed my issue quickly and had my laptop repaired in 24 hours. He even updated me with texts along the way to let me know where he was in the process. In the end my laptop needed an entire new hard drive. I actually ended up getting a better running computer out of the process, although I had to restore a lot of my computer. Mark was very nice and inexpensive and earned a new customer for future repairs. I recommend him to anyone who needs...
