Don't go here. Save yourself some trouble if you need to mail a package and either call FedEx or bring it directly to them. I was treated like a third class Citizen and talked to like a child by two rude older women when I had an issue with a package I dropped off. Apparently, all Perry's Parcel's customers are supposed to know all the international shipping rules and regulations regarding packages prior to entering the store. I made the mistake of leaving my package with someone who didn't know enough to check the destination address. I was told to leave it on the counter and everything would be fine. I had a bad feeling about doing that and I called later that afternoon and I was reassured yet again that there was not a problem. I called FedEx this morning and they had no record of my tracking number or of any package. After calling Fed ex and explaining this to them, FEDEX called Perrys and figured it out for me. I had to fill out paperwork which I didn't know had to be filled out. All of this could have been avoided if the person taking my package the day before took a few seconds to look at it. What kills me is they SCREWED UP, not me, yet I'm the one who's treated like an idiot and spoken to like I don't know what I'm doing. You would think with seven people behind the counter on a Friday afternoon they could figure out what was going on in that place. All they could do was loudly make excuse after excuse why it's not their fault! Lastly, I was asked if I learned anything (by the manage or owner I presume)... why... Yes, I did. Thank you Mrs. Rude Woman. I learned to steer clear of you and your rinky dink business and bring my packages ANYWHERE...
Read moreLong-time resident of Atascadero. Had a really bad experience here recently, unfortunately. Dropped off two large FedEx packages on a Tuesday, needing packing ($114), for important 2-Day Express to Alaska. This was only 30 minutes before their pickup, so I realized it probably wasn't going to make it out that day. Apparently, due to being busy and short-staffed it also didn't make it out the following day!?! Even two days later (Thursday), I called and they weren't packed yet! I had to switch to FedEx Overnight, costing some $800 or so more! They were not able to help with that cost OR contacting FedEx to help, only refunding their packing cost. Ultimately, one of the packages made it on-time (Friday), but the other was late and arrived sometime on Monday. This caused my employer a great deal of embarrassment with our client and also embarrassment on my part. Consider this an OK place to drop off pre-packaged and pre-labeled things, but avoid for anything business and/or...
Read moreMy family has been a loyal customer of Perry Parcels for several years, and usually theyâve had great experiences here. In the past, the staffâoften older ladies who were very kindâalways made the process of shipping items easy and pleasant.
Unfortunately, this time was different. During my recent visit with my mom to ship my grandmotherâs painting, we were helped by a younger staff member named Kadence (name listed on receipt) who was unfortunately quite rude and off-putting during the entire process. She took a very long time to process our shipment, shared several times how extremely stressed she was, and made us feel quite uncomfortable throughout the transaction. It was a disappointing change from the warm and efficient service weâre used to.
I hope this was just a one-off issue and that Perry Parcels can maintain the friendly, helpful atmosphere weâve always appreciated...
