La Plebe Mazatlán Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Atascadero

We visited with this venue as two couples hanging out, but sadly had to wait twenty minutes before we got someone to offer us a menu. Irrespective we ordered a "Queso Fundido," as that is a staple, but were greeted with microwaved Queso Fresco, not good whatsoever, and it was not even accompanied by chips or anything. Queso Fundido needs some chips or tortillas, so you can appreciate it, everyone knows that. The waiter kept emphasizing the "hand-made fresh tortillas," sadly it was obvious they were not fresh and recently microwaved. Two of us ordered a "Siete Mares" soup, and we asked the waiter for utensil(s) to crack the crabs open, and they said they apologize, but they dont have any. How do you claim to be a seafood establishment, and not have this? That is ridiculous, especially for what we paid, for the service and the food. I normally would not leave a negative review, but it was that bad, and I am never going...

20minutes for server to acknowledge you, then she took our drink order and another 30min to bring our drinks. We had to remind her about drinks. Place not busy at all just our table and one other in the entire place. About 50min later and our drinks come, shortly after only 3 of our 4 dinner plates, I still waited an additional 20min for my plate. Again we were the only table besides one other who server seemed to have all her attention towards, yea maybe the 4 guys at that table were spending the big bucks on seafood and buckets of beer that our $150 bill was meaningless. Our second time here and no we aren’t willing to come back to spend that kind of money. Honestly I don’t see this place staying open as long....

The waitresses Monse greated us upon entre. Our drinks were brought right away, the appetizers of jalapeno poppers were brought in about 7mins. The quesadilla and mixed fajitas came out within ten minutes of ordering, so in that aspect it's was good, friendly , and prompt. We asked for the rice to beput in side the quesadilla but it was placed on the side of it. I am old school and love me some beans,but these had a bitter taste to them for some reason.
