I will never be going here again, the night started out fun but as soon as we got here it was all RUINED. I wonât be recommending this place to anyone or bringing anyone here anymore. Me and my ex-boyfriend came here for our 5 year anniversary yesterday and we were excited to go skating because it was his first time ever and I wanted to teach him. The lady at the front with red hair smelled like wet dog and Iâm not even joking. Not only that, but I forgot my socks at home and bought a pair and she said, âwho comes to a skating rink without socks!?â And I found that really rude, Iâm tryna be better but she finna bring it out of me being rude. No good customer service. My next point is me and my boyfriend went to get our skates and they gave him some with a hole in it. The dude at the skate thing laughed at me for being 4â11 and my boyfriend being 6'8 but how is that my fault? I got over it and we finally went to the floor but the floor has some bumps in it. I saw a child struggling to skate no more than 8 years old and an employee trying to trip the child. Also, they donât say anything if thereâs almost men half your age rubbing up on you or if someone hits you. Some man ran into me and knocked me over, I hurt my wrist pretty bad but then he picked me up and skated off with me without even asking if I was okay with it. My boyfriend was a D1 football wide receiver prospect, he got life altering injuries from the cracks and bumps in the floor and will never be the same again. They assassinated my relationship and I will be talking to some higher ups about this. Also no one wanted to listen to the owner(?) trying to play dice play. If youâre gonna run a place at least have people listen to you.
EDIT: response to owner.
I did come with JD and this is not a joke you guys acc ruined our...
Read moreMy kids really enjoy skating here, and I appreciate that Fun Galaxy offers unlimited pizza and sodas after 6 PM on certain days as part of the admission price, itâs a great deal for families.
However, my experience on Saturday, September 27th left me a bit unsettled. There were four employees working that night⊠an older gentleman in the DJ booth, a woman at the front, a young man at the concession stand, and a young woman behind the skate counter. When I asked if they had speed skates in my size, the girl at the skate counter told me they didnât because âkids keep putting the skates in the toilets,â which was concerning to hear.
Another issue, was the music being played. When the song âLocked Upâ by Akon came on, I felt it was inappropriate for a crowd that was mostly kids between the ages of 8 and 14. Many of the songs were a bit inappropriate , in my opinion. I spoke to the DJ about it, and his response shocked me.. he said, âWhat does it matter, half these kids are going to end up in prison anyway.â He then sarcastically asked if I would prefer âChristian music.â I explained that there are plenty of fun, upbeat songs that would still be appropriate for kids to skate to, but his attitude was dismissive. It was sad to hear that was his perspective.
The facility itself seemed understaffed for the number of children there (around 35â40), and with so few adults present, the environment felt a bit chaotic. It seems like many parents drop their kids off for the evening, leaving the staff to manage everything. Itâs unfortunate, because Fun Galaxy has so much potential to be a positive, family-friendly place for kids and...
Read moreMy friend and I came their tonight to bring our kids for a good time. The lady with the red hair is extremely rude and definitely should not be working around kids if you donât have the proper patience and if your not kid friendly. I definitely wonât be going back or recommend anybody to go if they have younger kids, when I was younger it was a door where the snacks and food is. My 4 year old son who has autism went and got a bag of chips from behind the counter (I was trying to get my skaters exchanged so I did not see him to stop him ) I saw the lady go after him to get the bag of chips from him and he ended up falling and she snatched the chips for him not even offering to help him up , and when I confronted her trying to explain he had autism and I saw her do it she started yelling and couldnât even have a conversation and the manager said she hasnât worked with kids that have autism but you work around kids 24/7 mistakes like that must happen, then when my friend and I were talking to the manager her child was also complained about rudely! I donât understand why her people skills are so poor if you work in a environment with kids also other older kids were being very loud! Yes parents are going to get upset about their kids if they are being treated poorly. It must of been a race thing ! Spent 60$ and was there for 30 minutes plus they charged 15$ for a 2 Y/0 when a guy said over the phone it wouldnât be a charge, my kids havenât had problems before at this place and the situation should of been handled...
