We normally don't have much of an issue here. But today....I'm steaming, and my husband is as irritated as can be. We sat down after placing our order at the kiosk. We had got our cups and drinks, and patiently waited while watching one employee charm this family of five. They got a free beverage and the employee even went as far as to even get the mother a name badge! I believe this was all because the lady mentioned leaving a review.
Anyhow, we watched and listened from a distance as this was entertaining and there were only one or two other people in the restaurant. Quite some time passed and my husband (with Huntingtons Disease) was getting really irritated and slapping the table. I finally had him get up to go see about our order. By this time we had waited 23 minutes for our order!!! They tell my husband "it'll be out in a minute". A few minutes later....finally!!!! Then we were told they were out of brownies, but at least they did replace it with 2 cookies. As we began eating, several more people came in, who all got their food in a timely manner. Why? Was it because one employee was charming that family and not doing what they needed to be doing? I kept thinking "i wish they'd leave so we can get our food". A total 27 minute wait!!! When I mentioned this to the lady who brought our food, I was told that "they were getting backed up back there". Gee I wonder why. From other reviews it seems like they play around a lot instead of doing their job, which was somewhat apparent today, witnessing one spend 20 minutes charming a family. A name badge? C'mon! Wasting time. Meanwhile people sit waiting for their food. I knew not to go to that location. There's never anybody at the counter, so if you need your cups or to place your...
Read moreStopped into Whataburger tonight. This joint was on our to do list since we don't have a Whataburger in our area. This building and venue looks like a newer Whataburger. Walking in, everything looked clean and bright. I appreciate it when the staff takes good care of the dining area. I eat with my eyes so seeing a dirty dining area is such a turn off. It make you think the kitchen could be dirty too.
My husband and I checked out the menu. We both decided to grab the double cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato. We did grab the meal so we got the fries and a drink.
We got ourselves sat at a booth. A sweet gal came with our order and dropped it off to us. We asked for some ketchup and she bought a whole tray of ketchup/ sauce options.
The burger was hearty! Size wise, it's comparable to a whopper. I appreciate that the bun isn't so thick. I don't like a lot of bread to my burger and this was a great balance. The lettuce and tomato was really fresh. The cheese was nice and melty. It was a good burger! The fries seemed never ending! You would eat and eat the fries and still have a ton left over in the container. They were fried perfectly and salty.
The staff was really nice but you can tell they are immature. Some of them were horsing around in the front and was causing a ruckus. Things were knocked over and caused unnecessary noise while dining there. Other than that the food was great and the venue was clean. I'm happy we got to check off Whataburger on our...
Read moreI visited Whataburger on Lexington Rd around 5am on 06/23/24 in the drive thru. First, there only appeared to be one person working because he told me through the speaker to wait a few minutes. It ended up being much longer than a few minutes and I was picking up and order I ordered in the app. He was also not at all friendly or welcoming. When I say he told me to wait a few minutes, it was just that. He didnât ask me if that was ok. Then, the food. I ordered a biscuit with gravy and it was inedible. When I say it was salty, it was almost comically salty. There is no way that whoever prepared that gravy thought that the amount of salt was appropriate. Itâs like someone poured an entire box of salt in right before they walked out and quit. It was terrible. Even someone who doesnât know how to cook would think that was the right amount of salt. The wait times are way too long. The local proprietors just donât seem to get it because the Atlanta Hwy location has this same issue (though the staff at that location is great). You would think when they see their restaurants do a lot of late night business they would staff accordingly, but they donât. And itâs consistently like that. And itâs stressful for their customers and their employees. The disregard for their employees make me never want to patronize their business again. And Iâm really close. The gravy thing was over the top. I canât say that enough. It was disgusting and went straight into the trash after...
