This review is difficult. This was our first visit to a Bojangles. The food was good. We ordered the Chicken sandwich Deluxe which included bacon, lettuce and tomato in addition to the usual Mayo and pickle with fries. It was good. Worth revisiting for. We also ordered 3 Pc chicken tender supremes, a little spicy kick with dirty rice and coleslaw. Also good. Nothing to necessarily write home about but good. The fries were the best part of the meal. A little different with a sprinkling of season salt that added flavor but isn’t as extreme as seasoned fries from Checkers or Arby’s. The Honey Mustard dipping sauce was our preferred choice. It definitely had a touch of honey and paired with a yellow mustard flavor not Dijon. It was delicious. Oh, and the sweet tea… YUM! Southern sweet and brewed, not syrup! It was neither too sweet nor bitter from over brewing.
Based on the food we would give Bojangles another try, though we wouldn’t go out of our way to visit.
Now, this location was a different matter. It was dirty. The windows were covered in what looked like oil. The tables were not cleaned. We arrived at 12:00 pm and they were just unlocking the doors so obviously the dining room was cleaned the evening before. The staff were extremely unprofessional though they were courteous enough. The person who took our order then went to the back and prepared our order while other staff stood around. One person looked through their mail while standing at the back counter. Another person walked around the back talking on their cell phone. Interestingly, there is a sign posted at the counter saying that cell phone use on shift would result in immediate termination. The cook, woman filling window orders and the gentleman taking dine in orders were busting their butts.
The entire situation was weird while standing and waiting for ten minutes for chicken to cook.
That being said, if we revisit Bojangles it will not be...
Read moreI've had several bad experiences with this location prompting this review. This is the second time in a row I purchased a Fried Chicken Sandwich and received what they use for their Cajun Filet Biscuit. I tried to place my order on the mobile app for pick up. The sandwich was not available in the app so I drove to the location and placed my order. After the fact, I understand why it was unavailable to order on the app, they were out of stock of ingredients. I asked for it to be Bo-sized. Tamarrilise, the cashier, looked at me like I was stupid and said, "what?" I pointed above her head to the menu that says, "Bo-size your meal for $1," or something like that because the last time I ordered my Sandwich Combo Bo-Sized they charged me for a large drink and family fry which was 1/3 empty. I requested extra seasoning and there was no seasoning. Today, after she hands me my cup for my drink, she proceeds to make my side order of fries and set them on the counter, away from the warming drawer they were in, before going to the back to prepare the sandwich. After about two minutes (usually cooked fresh and served burning hot,) she returned with a sandwich, picked up the fries, placed them in the bag and set it down while mumbling something unintelligible. I opened the bag, saw the fries were half full and unseasoned again. I asked her if it was possible to get extra seasoning and maybe a few more fries. She snapped back, "just give me the bag." She took my order, placed it, prepared it and still couldn't get it right. Why should I feel uncomfortable asking for what I paid for? I got in my truck, unwrapped my sandwich, and surprise, another tiny, underwhelming, waste of money. Again, this is the second time in a row they tried to pull a fast one on me. First picture is today, second picture was...
Read moreLet me just say that this location makes the corporation of Bojangles look immensely BAD! From the food, the service and the workers…really nothings off the table. Additionally, the management team does not reflect the core values of Bojangles. Chisma, the area manager, and general manager, Tracey both need a crash course in conflict management, professionalism, effective communication, and leadership to name a few. You better not try to call up there to place an order, you either get hung up on, or placed on hold for a long time before the call drops. How they run this establishment is beyond poor. The whole crew team lacks the basic sense of customer service. On any given day you may be reluctant to get verbally assaulted by a worker depending on how that worker feels in addition to the slow service plus their always running out of food. Most times the cars are wrapped around the building. You can thank management for that! They cannot keep workers. Nobody wants to work for people who devalue individuals and undercut their home life because the expectation is that work takes priority over everything else. There is no balance. Bojangles needs to do a complete overhaul of the whole store from management down and bring in a new team of people who value the business, the community they serve, and the right employees who exhibit professionalism and customer service in a positive way. To corroborate this review, just read the other recent reviews about this restaurant. Potential customers and people who are considering applying for a...
