H P Car Accessories & ATV — Local services in Athens

I came here on a regular basis to buy parts and accessories that I put on my trucks myself. And if that's what you want- to buy parts that you will install yourself- then this place is ok. If you plan on having them do ANYTHING mechanical to your vehicle DO NOT GO HERE!. I brought them my truck on a Thursday at 8 am, which was when i was told by the mechanic AJ to bring it in and that they would have it done that day. It was nothing but a leveling kit. It's something that I can and have done on my own in my driveway in about 3 1/2 hours. But that day I was moving to a new house and just figured itd be easier to have them do it while I used my other truck to move. Later that day I drove by and they had not even started on it. So I called at which point AJ told me the first of many lies by saying that he wasnt gonna be able to get to it today but that he would have it done for sure by tomorrow at noon. I work on an oil rig in west Texas and told him that I had to be at work at 8 PM the following day so that i needed it for sure by noon so that i could at least possibly be close to making it on time. He guaranteed me and gave me his word it would be done by noon the next day, which is Friday. I had rented a u-haul trailer from their buisness next door to help with moving, so I returned it at about 9:30 the next morning after moving everything all night with just one truck. So then the guy at the desk, I believe hes Singhs son, tells me that it will be done for sure that afternoon even though they still had not even started on it. Another lie. So next day comes, about 12:30, nobody has called me so I drive by and my truck has not only not been worked on at all, but they've moved it to the parking lot next door where the u-haul buisness is. So I called. AJ the mechanic once again lies to me and said man, just give me one more day. And I said i was now missing work time because of their procrastination but that I would give him another day if he could give me his word as a man that it would be done by noon the NEXT day. He promised and gave me his word. Another lie by AJ. So I drive by today about 10 am and it is still parked next door, not started on, with a dead vehicle parked behind it You cant do a leveling kit in 2 hours, idgaf who you are. So I went in and demanded my keys. They didnt apologize or offer any explanation for all the lies, just handed me my keys. Then they went over to move the truck that was behind mine so I could get out and couldn't find the right key. So they jammed it in neutral and pushed it out of the way so I could get out. So they had my truck almost 3 days, didn't touch it. Gave me their word 3 separate times on a finish point and had not even begun to work on it any of those times. Horrible customer service, horrible horrible mechanic named AJ, dont believe a word that comes out of his mouth, horrible organization (none at all actually.) Again, it's a decent place to wall in and buy stuff that you're gonna put on on your own. But never, ever take them anything to work on. Huge f**ng headache and nothing but lies. I have nothing bad to say about Singh personally because he doesn't handle the mechanical side, AJ does. But it's a mess up there as fast...

Dealt with the Owner who was very rude and called me a liar then tried to turn it around with the representative we were speaking with. Had a flat tire on a loaded car hauler through Uhaul and called this store (was 2 blocks away and this place is also an authorized dealer for Uhaul) while also on the phone with Uhaul Roadside Assistance. Roadside had directed us to check if this site had a trailer to switch us out with or a tire to replace. Was told it was not true by the person on the phone and when I relayed this to roadside they then requested the persons name and number. The person on phone informed me he was the owner and his name was Singh and then he hung up on me. All this after I specifically asked him to please wait so I could find out from Roadside what they needed us to do. I can understand there may be limitations due to their contract as he mentioned they could not change tire, but there is still the expectation of customer service when operating any business and this person could have cared less. Roadside was atleast very helpful and thankfully did everything they could to get us taken care of. See comment below for more proof of...

I would have left no stars if I could. Went into store 2 weeks ago to see if they could work on my UTV. Owner said he could and would send his transporter to pick it up. Didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks and went back in to the store. Met with the owner and asked about picking up my UTV and could to tell he knew he forgot me. He said he would pick it up Wednesday???. Here it is Thursday and haven't heard anything. I will move on to someone who wants my business…. As far as this business goes…..
