Vapenotiq Vapors Vape Shop — Local services in Athens

1-2 pack smoker since 1982 and decided it was time! This was the 1st ever vape shop we ever visited - I had decided (again) to quit smoking and after the patches, gums, and prescriptions failing over the years decided to try something new. We chose Vapenotiq due to the stellar reviews on Google and for the most part, the staff lived up to those reviews. I was steered toward a Innokin Kroma starter kit with a 'Playboy' atomizer and I purchased it, some e-liquid, and extra parts on the advice of Vapenotiq staff. I don't know if it was a problem with the mod or me, but the mod used just under a half tank and the mod needed to be plugged in. Took it back to the store and staff looked it over, said it was fine/normal. After much research, I find this to be less than true, but that is what I was told. I decided to search for a better mod online and decided on the Smok AL85 Baby Alien. Vapenotiq didn't carry any so purchased one in Cleveland, along with a Samsung 25R 18650 battery. Great little mod, great battery that lasted around 5ml worth of e-liquid at 55w, but for the entire day, I needed another battery. Stopped into Vapenotiqs last Thursday 6/16/17and asked for an 18650 battery and a charger for my AL85. Received a Gold Imren 3500mAh 15/30A for $12 and a Xtar VC2 digital charger for $28. After charging the new Imren battery and using it for the first time, I noticed I would get a low battery warning at 50 percent, then would only charge to 1609mAh. I look closer and after learning more about 18650 batteries than I ever wanted to, note the 'Authentic Imren' sticker has been scratched off and the 'New' battery acted like it had been through 500 duty cycles already. I examine the new battery charger and there are scratches all over the protective plastic on the screen. The charger I can deal with because it works properly and I've already ordered the wall wart Vapenotiqs should have sold me in the first place, but the BATTERY? Nope, not acceptable and I email Vapenotiqs POS provider. Figure I'll go by the store sometime this week to get things straight. Vapenotiqs called me first today and asked if I would come down to the store and they would refund me. I get to the shop 15 minutes later and was told 'the girl' who was with me on our first visit, oh my wife?, 'yes, gave me a bad review on Facebook so I'm refunding your money and you and your wife are banned from my store, I don't want your business.' I said , 'No problem'. Hours later I find out that not only are we banned from their store and wife is banned from their page on Facebook, but we cannot purchase any of their custom e-liquids from anyone. Not allowed and if any of their distrubutors are caught selling to us, will lose their distributorship!

I highly DO NOT recommend Vapenotiqs due to shady business practices and childish behavior if you question them.

Response to owner: I never discussed a budget - as shown by a larger purchase at another vape shop less than a week later AND a second visit to your store to make yet another purchase within days, never_once_asking_how_much the items cost. I was shown two mods, the 'wolf' box mod on the vaping bar & the Innokin Kroma was recommended by your staff because 'then you don't have to mess with batteries or chargers' as well as 'we sell a lot of these'. Upon return of the Kroma for a checkup, your staff looked at the device for 30 seconds, pressed the two buttons several times, and declared everything fine and 'that's the way these are.'. I asked him if there was anything we could do and he replied 'Nope, sorry.' 4a. Consumables are not returnable per store policy & after the 'thorough' inspection of the Innokin, I did not expect much from your professional staff. The "Authentic' Imren sticker had already been scratched off! 4b. Due to the above experience, I went further & when Square asked my opinion, I gave it. Note this was still private as far as I was concerned. When you called, it surprised me & I thought I was getting a battery exchanged - then you went nuclear. The internet...

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a vape shop. The store was comfortably sized, spotless clean, nicely organized and very well merchandised.

The hardware selection was outstanding. I’ve been in plenty of bigger shops with tons more stuff in the displays, but those places use the space like warehouses with very little in the way of selection, just a bunch of the same thing. Usually either piled up to the point of a fire hazard or with enough dead space to make an Apple store look crowded. Not here.

Things were tightly grouped with just enough space between to isolate groups and the individual products in the groups. You could ask to see something without the feeling of operating one of those crane games and the people behind the counter could reach right in without knocking stuff over and put it back just as smoothly.

But it’s the people who really made the shop. They knew the products inside and out and were able to make informed opinions about give sound advice. They’re also super friendly, even making suggestions about things to consider buying in the future. In chatting with the sales person we discovered he was familiar with the town in WV where I live and recommended a shop I should visit. Based on my great experience at Vapenotiq I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t pay the recommended shop a visit when I get back home.

I’ll wrap it up with this. I had actually gone into the shop looking for a replacement glass for a tank I had bought a couple days earlier at another shop in another town. They didn’t have the glass, and I wasn’t looking to buy another new tank when I have so many, but after a little discussion I ended up buying a new TFV8 Baby V2 on their recommendation and it’s probably my favorite tank of all time. It’s no easy task to turn $12 no sale into a $50+ (total with other items) sale without even asking for the sale.

Whether you’re a local or just traveling through town I can’t recommend Vapenotiq more highly. If you’re anywhere nearby it’s worth a short...

Update: 2024 October Everything I've said before still stands to be fact. My son and I stopped in to get juice and D was so knowledgeable about everything and D is the BEST!!! SHOUT OUT TO 'D' Thanks lady !!! Keep up the great work. High quality, BEST tasting, and large variety of products at Vapenotiq Vapor in McMinn County!!!!!!! You can't ask for a better person to go to than when you msg on messenger ; very knowledgeable about product, so understanding, and amazingly friendly - works out the situation ASAP. Whoohoo!!!!!!! I would not go any where else to buy my vape! GREAT little, yet Big on what matters "EVERYTHING" VAPE SHOP!! And it's here Locally!

9/21/20 Had problem with my Clover and points so I messaged Vapenotiq Vapors. They were so quick to fix the problem and get my free bottle to me as I needed juice. They are amazing people. Best people and most amazing favored juices near this area ever!!!!!!!!!
