Tucked away in the quaint college town of Athens, Tennessee, lies a coffee sanctuary that defies the mundane. It's a place where the coffee is as rich as the conversations and the pastries tell their own sugary tales. This isn't your run-of-the-mill caffeine dispensary; oh no, this is where the muses come to play barista. The moment you step in, you're greeted by an atmosphere thick with creativity, each corner a testament to the unconventional. The walls, a canvas of artistic expression, whisper stories of late-night cram sessions and the birth of thesis statements. In the heartbeat of a hummingbird, I'll be back, ready to once again partake in the sacrament...

This did not disappoint. It was perfectly poured espresso with a rich, uniform, deep amber crema. It was bold and smooth and perfect poured into a cup of coffee.
Whilst at the shop, I had a lovely chat with the manager, who was also the person making my drink. This made the experience even better, because people who help at counters tend to develop what an old boss of mine called "Wall Syndrome," in which you perceive an invisible wall between you and the customers. A lot of coffee shops are like that while your drink is being made. The fact that Blue Front wasn't is what made the visit a...
