The studio was clean. Nicely decorated for great photo ops afterwards. The job for which we came to do was done for that reason I would say 4 stars but here is why I'm giving it 3 stars though I would really want to give it 2 stars.

There are different genres of music, and different reasons why a person would want to come to a recording studio to record. ( I've been to other recording studios in other states that did not have the problem I'm preparing to mention. ) To walk into a place of business and have to strongly smell the stench of weed is not acceptable. The aroma of weed is not an ambiance especially to people who don't smoke.

Not everyone who would want to use your facilities smoke.

The minute we opened the door and stepped in the stench was very strong. Thankfully it wasnt in the particular room that we were recording in. Nevertheless first impressions mean alot.

While I understand people are going to do what they do. In your place of business, you set the initial atmosphere. So for someone to walk in and while standing in the hallway waiting for the rest of the group have to be subjected to such a strong odor because the entrance and corridor reeks of weed is not cool.

(Yet, it doesn't get past me that someone would read this review and want to come to your studio for the experience knowing that they can smoke all up in this place of business and the owners don't care. So you are welcome.)

Now that I've gotten that off my chess, since I was forced to smell that stench coming into the studio as well as leaving out of it, again the facility was clean.

There are a couple of areas of photo ops for the one going in to record and document that they were there.

Regarding the sound proofing of the rooms. It appeared sound proof until at one moment during our recording a strong base could be heard in our room from one of the other rooms. It didn't last long and it also didnt effect our recording.

End of the day we came for a job and we were able to accomplish is 👍👍👍👍

Neither I, nor the recording artist,appreciated having to inhale the stench of weed and have that stench get in our clothing and hair👎👎

Would we return? As a last option if we couldn't find another place that offers the total package👍

I booked 4 hours yesterday, I called and asked if they had an Avalon ahead of time, when I got there it didn’t work in the A room and an engineer from another room said it was blown and didn’t know when the owner would fix it. They stole 1 hour of my time before we decided to use the Neve instead, it was not what I asked for, but I compromised. My husband who engineered the session actually liked the Neve, so we decided to book a for hour session for the next day. I asked the guy at the reception desk to write the owner in the notes that they owed us an hour. We return the following day and the usb splitter wasn’t working, 30 mins in I ask to speak to the owner, because my time was being wasted again. I talk to the owner he was so rude. He told me he won’t refund an hour and I should have used his engineer. I explained to him my husband has been engineering for 20 years and they problem is his equipment. I told him his engineer told me already the Avalon didn’t work, he called his own engineer a liar. He then tried to say his equipment works great all the time ignoring the fact that room A had faulty equipment. I asked for my money back at that time, he did refund it, yet I will never go to that studio again in life and I don’t recommend you going there and doing business with them, the owner is a snake. We booked a session for my clients for a Monday at 10am to 2pm through the engineer Marty and paid in advance (attached is the cash app receipt to prove we booked here). The artists showed up and the engineer showed up, but the studio wasn’t open. When the engineer called the owner to come let everyone in, he said he was on his way. But he didn’t show. They sat outside waiting for him for over an hour. The money was refunded immediately, but it left me scrambling to find an affordable studio at 11am on a Monday morning for my clients. I understand mistakes happen and maybe they thought the session was 10pm to 2am...but to tell customers who’ve paid for a session that you’re on your way and not show up is foul. To be the only one with keys to the studio is asinine. Is this a real business? Who plays games with people like this? One of the guys in the group flew in from Louisiana for the day just for this session. This ended up costing us waaaaaay more than anticipated. Never recording here again and I will tell everyone I know about...
