I'm a food connoisseur and will travel often for a great meal-- I'll drive 12 hours RT in a day for the real thing. I'll pick a hole in the wall over a Tik Tok famous spot. So when I pulled up, the taste buds just knew we were about to be treated... So we thought.

Cafeteria style setup... But it takes like 10 minutes per person so that was annoying. I appreciate the kindness of the "seasoned" staff more than anything. Fryer was out of commission.

Not impressed by the portion sizes on Sunday. My partner and I both felt as if it was lacking--especially considering we were receiving the last pieces in the pan/container... Yet there was still scraps left in the containers 🥴.

The dressing was dry, which is not my preference. Gravy was a generic store bought flavor and texture.

Yams- pretty good, but too much allspice to the point you can smell it from the backseat of your car and it become overwhelming with each bite, but the sweetness is good.

Turkey wings - skin is tough, but the meat was pretty tender to an extent.

Mac & cheese - not really flavorful IMO. Hint of cheese flavor at best.

Broccoli casserole - too salty, but bearably good.

Would I revisit? More than likely, no. I wasn't impressed enough to finish the plate. I could also tell this wouldn't reheat well at all. BUT, I will always recommend others to try for themselves instead of trusting a few opinions. Our standards/expectations are bound to vary, and that's okay.

TL;DR - I've had better, but for something homecooked-ish and close, it's alright. All in one sitting sort of meal. About $20/person without the drink and dessert -about $30...

I am a Jamaican girl and love our style oxtail but occasionally I want southern oxtail. I have tried many restaurants on the southside from College Park, Union City, East Point, Cascade areas and each time extremely disappointed. Today I am in Atlanta and googled Soul food near me and tried this restaurant based on previous reviews and pictures.

Well OMG- this is the BEST soul food oxtail I have ever eaten. Pure deliciousness. And the portion was very generous. The restaurant was clean, the service polite and friendly. But my entire plate was good but the shining star was these oxtail and rice. Well worth my drive.

I tried to call but the number kept going to VM, I am glad I took the chance and drove over here anyways.

Definitely will return and definitely recommend. So affordable $25 verses other...

I took a chance because this place was close, but never again..I got the rib tips and two sides..was $21 bucks which shook me because the portion sizes were tiny. The rib tips were delicious but it was only 6 or 7tips! My biggest gripe were the can good greens and yams, literally straight from the can and 1scoop each, this plate reminded me of something you’d get at a soup kitchen, the prices wasn’t the issue, it was the quality and portion size that really through me for a loop, it didn’t justify the price whatsoever. I don’t know about anyone else if I’m paying $15 or more dollars for food i Dnt want something straight form a can..there are 5-7 BBQ joints within 2 miles of this place with fresh food for the same price with...

This was not far from Martin Luther King site. We ordered the fried fish, wings, Mac n cheese which was delicious, oxtail, pinto beans greens, yams, rice, peach cobbler. And I will say everything was tasty. The fish and wings are fried to order so you get it nice and hot. Dont expect a fancy place. This is a hole in the wall place serving some good old southern food. The peach cobbler was memorable. It was hands down delicious. The best Mac n cheese, creamy and well seasoned. I would definitely go there again. Plenty of parking and 2 seater tables.

Listen, after trying the other two soul food spots in my neighborhood I was hesitant & already knew the food wouldn’t be good but babbbyyyy was I wrong! It was finger licking good ! I had turkey wings, yams and mac n cheese and cornbread! Bussing ! My plate was like $15 and $20 after an additional side and came with a sweet tea. It was worth it. It filled me up. Ian gon lie, it’s breakfast and I’m Already planning to slide back by for lunch. I’m happy to know it’s a good soul food restaurant in the neighborhood
