Let me first say that Erica and Christine's services were phenomenal ...they were not the problem. However, Desmond, the tech who completed my daughter's little feet service ...was awful!..to put it nicely. Per the website, the little feet service comes with nail shaping, hydrating foot massage, and the polish of your choice. This is advertised for $15 (as of 10/27/18 anyway, from my understanding they will be changing this..smh). My daughter was looking forward to this and the polish...it's not offered in south Georgia where we live so I thought it was the perfect treat for her. I was leaned back with my eyes closed for brow service and was unable to see what Desmond was doing because I would have inquired before he finished my daughter's service. However, I found out afterward from my child that she didn't get a foot massage. I inquired about this with Desmond...his response was, "I shaped her nails and polished them, that's very reasonable for $15" (a condescending statement in my opinion). I stated ok and immediately looked up the website again because I wanted to verify that this was what I saw prior to booking our services. I addressed this with Desmond once I verified it. He had started on another customer and stated he would give her a massage after she dries once I pointed out that it was on the site (mind you she had been sitting long enough to be dry already). I waited a few more minutes and I was dry at this point, mind you I finished after my daughter did. I explained to the lady at checkout that I needed to go (we had a wedding ceremony to attend)and asked if I could recieve any kind of discount due to not receiving the full service. He turned around in his chair (while working on another customer) and stated "No, she still received the service". I had just stated that she didn't receive the massage...so she didn't recieve the FULL advertised service! In my opinion , the CORRECT thing for Desmond to do was apologize, ask his current client to allow him a few minutes, complete her massage, then move on...so since that wasn't done, I think a discount would have been VERY reasonable. I especially didn't like what I felt was a condescending tone when referring to what HE thought was reasonable for $15 vs what the website stated that he didn't provide!!! It had nothing at all to do with paying for her service because I'm well enough off that money is not an issue...the problem was HIM and how he responded to the issue I had with him not giving her the full advertised service! His response to my complaint alone completely soured my experience as a whole. However , I still want to give the other two ladies credit for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a loyal client at Lark & Sparrow since March of this year, after relocating back to Atlanta. My former nail tech recommended this salon, and I was pleased to find a boutique-style environment that matched what I was used to. Until today, my experiences have always been pleasant and professional.
I typically visit every 4ā5 weeks and even drive an hour each way because Iāve enjoyed the quality of service and atmosphere. Of course, I could find a nail salon closer to home, but Iāve chosen to continue coming here because I felt comfortable and well taken care of ā until today.
During my most recent appointment, the removal process took longer than usual. I had already decided to downgrade my usual Tier 3 service to something more basic. However, the manager informed me that my nail tech would not be able to complete my scheduled service ā an appointment I booked weeks in advance. I was made to feel as if the delay was my fault. Because I needed a repair and requested a design, I was told there wasnāt enough time to finish due to another client being scheduled afterward.
I had a nail break during my previous appointment, and those repairs were growing out. Still, I wasnāt offered another nail tech who could assist me, nor was I offered an alternative appointment to complete the services I had booked. Instead, I was told I could have my nails polished but not repaired, and that I should call in advance for repairs ā something that has never been communicated to me before.
Ultimately, I chose to leave the salon with unfinished nails and felt extremely disappointed by how the situation was handled. After months of loyalty and positive experiences, todayās visit left me feeling dismissed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI booked an appointment for four people about a month in advance. We waited about 20 minutes for service until we were seated. Once seated, one of the four was still not seen for another 10-15 minutes. The basic pedicure is $38 and is not worth the expense. The chairs are comfortable and you are offered a warm neck-pillow, which was nice. The pedicure consists of a dry scrub (you do not put feet into water until after you are scrubbed) and a 3 minute massage which was basically just someone rubbing lotion onto my feet and legs. My feet were placed in water and then I received a polish. After the polish, the woman sprayed my feet with an almond spray (I was not asked if I was allergic). This spray was basically an oil and although it smelled nice, j could not walk to my car safely as I was sliding all over the place and had to hold onto my mother for help. The moment I got home, I had to wash my feet and shoes because of the oil. It was a total safety hazard. I will never return to this place. You can receive a high-end massage, mask, and scrub as well as a polish without this weird oil mist that is dangerous to walk in from #1 Nails in Ormewood Park, which is normally my go-to salon for the same price. I was so disappointed in the lack of thought put into so much of our appointment. The decor is nice and the place is clean. Our nail technicians were very nice and I liked them, but it was very clear the place was overbooked and did not think about practical issues like spraying someone with oil before they need to walk in...
