DO NOT BELIEVE THE WARRANTY!!!!!

A little over 3 years ago we purchased more than 1400 Sq/ft of EVP Vinyl Plank flooring from LL (Then Lumber Liquidators). It was absolutely beautiful and we looked forward to years of maintenance free living, and we felt like it was money well spent for the lifetime warranty.

LL sold us the flooring and padding to go under it, we had it installed by the contractor that was remodeling our house.

Fast forward 3 years, and it's absolutely falling apart everywhere.

Corners are broken, middle of the planks are de-laminating, and we've resorted to having to put brown duck tape everywhere because it will cut your feet if you catch an edge!!!

I understand that things happen in production... not everything always gets manufactured perfectly, and that's where the lifetime warranty should give anyone confidence to purchase.

But more disappointing than anything, is the way this was handled. LL sent out an "independent assessor" and denied any warranty claim for two main reasons.

  1. They deemed the floor NOT flat to their standards. Which is true... there are SOME AREAS of the floor that are not flat to their standards.... However there ARE AREAS of the floor that WERE measured and ARE flat... yet still falling part!!!!

  2. The padding is literally falling apart under the floor, and you can feel "holes" where the middle of the planks are delaminating. They deemed the padding THEY SOLD ME, should NOT HAVE EVER BEEN installed under this particular flooring!!! LL told me that it was my fault for putting the padding down even though they sold it to me the SAME DAY they sold me the flooring!!!

I'm now out THOUSANDS of dollars to have to replace this floor in just over 3 years.

This floor was not abused in any way. We have no pets, no wet shoes go on this floor... no one would have ever expected this floor to fall apart in only 3 years...

I would not recommend anyone buy from LL, as apparently they will do anything they can to get out of a...

So far best selection of hardwood and best prices. We will be getting the hardwood installed next week. I'll post the result than. After install update: The installers did a decent job. Upstairs (installer Rob) looks great (floating eng. hardwood). But before they installed I went through and made sure there weren't any creeks or sounds (by screwing in 300 screws to the floor). The upstairs floor is uneven and they didn't put down the leveling compound (had it on hand and part of the quote) so now if you walk in some areas, the floor makes a squish noise. From the air compressing between the hardwood and plywood floor.

The downstairs living room (Our main focal point) (solid nailed down hardwood) Larry did ok at best. I liked Larry he was very knowledgeable but with that I feel he cut some corners. At the time his ideas seemed good but now not so much. Once again They didn't use leveling compound to match my existing hardwood floor (in the adjoining room). Instead he used roof shingles and cardboard (yes roof shingles) to try and level only a section of the floor. Needless to say our floor isn't level in a couple areas. Also we went with the polar opposite flooring color as our adjoining room's hardwood. So the new light natural flooring boards are turned very slightly against the perpendicular dark oak wood floor makes the new floor look pretty crooked. I wish he would have suggested running one new floor board parallel to help hide and blend the crooked floor. I really liked Dave the Owner / estimator. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He is the very reason why I chose Lumber for the install. I wish his installers would take their time and not just...

Horrible company that will not honor their warranty. Purchased very nice 3/4 inch hickory Bella flooring. Used the Primmum Bella underlayment. Two years after the install the surface finish began peeling off. I made a claim. I was asked to submit pictures which I did. Was assigned a case number and a case manager. Since then I have been getting the run around to include them swapping case managers. The case manager called but went right to my voice mail. Case manager never called back. When I called I was told I needed to fill out a call back request form. Yeah, get that, like they don't have the good sense and practice to try and call me back. This is the normal process for these people, run you around until you get tired and give up. I have made several attempts to call them back only to have them hang up stating that they don't have to tolerate calls from angry customers. I wasn't threating or cussing just simply expressing my displeasure with their ingoing my case and asking when they plan to do something about it. it has been two months now and I got nothing. Oh sure they are nice when you make a purchase but have no interest in standing behind their promise. Do your self a favor, get a huge discount up front and don't count on any warranty or just go with a different company. My advice is avoid them like the plague. Hint, check their rating first as they are going broke. IMO it's a company run by a bag...

I have shopped in this store for few times now. I bought all hardwood materials from this store location. I changed my family room, kitchen, stairs and few other areas in my house as individual projects and over the years. What I bought is Brazilian Koa for my house. The flooring transformed the look and appealing of my house inside. People in this store are very friendly and provide you the fair advice & opinion on what you have to do....I have called them many many times to make changes to my order and they never shown any kind of frustration. Below are some pictures that would show the transformation of my recent kitchen project....
