Target — Local services in Auburn

Love having a local target, just one less star due to one staff’s EXTREME rudeness today. The older woman with reading glasses could not adequately or efficiently assist customers at the self check out (took longer than I have ever waited at a self check out,) on an average/not super busy time of day. My neurodivergent 4 year old son accidentally rang something in more than once and we were struggling to delete the extra items without staff assistance. We waited several minutes before deciding to head to the cashier check out line and waited in line there. My husband brought my son to walk over towards Starbucks to keep him busy while I finished checking out. The same woman from self check out made a point to come find me in line, tap me on my shoulder which jumped me as I have PTSD, and proceeded to very rudely SCOLD me (I’m a 32 year old professional woman) in front of other customers and staff. I attempted to explain the situation with my son and she literally yelled in my face, and I quote, she said: “DON’T EVER DO THAT” to which I calmly responded “you were helping someone else for quite some time.” She had even waited at the end of my row and then literally pushed past other customers until my husband had walked out of ear shot with my son. She snapped back at me “It’s fine if I was with other people but you NEED to let me know!” Absolutely not, ma’am. It’s 1000% her job to man the self check out especially while not even busy. I peeked over at the self check out when we left and she was literally inches away from another customer’s screen in the self check out with reading glasses, trying to figure it out. I understand not everyone is tech savvy and as someone who is literally partially blind myself, I get it. But don’t be having people in the self check out that are not efficient or friendly. It’s just not acceptable. For context, I do atleast one hefty target pick up order weekly and I’m a very regular customer. I rarely shop indoors and the one time I chose to, I was accosted and literally yelled at in public. Do better.

Never had anyone anywhere treat me so poorly in my life !! the leader needs termination! He refused to come see my return in my suv cause i told him the box my 65 inch tv came in was not in perfect condition cause i had to put it outside and it just rained ! His reply to me we refuse any returns if the tv is not in the box ! how is one person supposed to remove a tv from a box this large and keep the box in mint condition for one ? for 2 i had s tv i bought the night before that too was junk they took it back no issues what so ever i also still have that box ! The leader lied repeatedly told me he needs the serial number off the box the receipt also has the serial number! ask me they got a load of junk tvs and were paid to get rid of them and refuse return when people discovered what junk they are ! so now they refuse a refund suing them is the only other option and ill be far exceeding small claims after hiring a lawyer cause they have a reputation for not paying and if necessary a lein will be placed on the property all because they are too cheap to conduct business in a proper legal manner ! There is literally zero reason they could not refund me my purchase price! never ever had any issues at walmart my 80 year old father insisted his tv come from target well he can get up and go get it himself next time walmart sold me a tv for 160.00 less and it set up in 5 minutes never once reset itself like this one does repeatedly !! over 3 hours wasted setting it up vizio told us they needed 70.00 to unlock it !!! so they are pre infested with indian scammer programming ! nevet will i ever buy a thing...

I visited this Target for the first time on Sunday afternoon and I have never had a more uncomfortable shopping experience. I felt like I was being followed throughout the store. There were way more employees than customers and most of them were just standing around talking to each other. I had gone in for some drinks and a special type of pillow as well as shop for clothes if I had the time but after being stared down in the pillow section, I decided to just get my pillow and leave. I usually shop out of town after work in another city but live locally to this Target and wanted to give it a try. I guess I wasn’t dressed nicely enough (it was Sunday and I was going home after helping my mom in her garden) as every time I looked up - a very disheveled looking young man was looking at me with a bright yellow vest.
