Huge pool with a great shallow area.
Tons of dead bugs in the pool...not just a few.....wish they would use a bug net.. Noticed 8 life guards and it looks like only 4 watch the pool at a time because of rotation...not sure who cleans the water.. We have been to other Austin public pools and never saw anything like this. So many dead bugs in the water. Kinda gross... and most patrons I encountered in the pool made a comment about it.
This was our first time at this location so not sure if it was a fluke
Ok bathroom facilities. I like the separate male/female restrooms as some other locations do not offer this. Toilets were not very clean.

Read moreIt's closed for the season. Honestly this doesn't make sense to me because public pools are always sterile environments. Well, atleast more so than any other community activity. With Covid at the front lines of the news, per our new norm, places like these should remain open as long as possible. It does, however, appear to be well taken care of with basic amenities in place. My kids would have a great time wearing themselves out here for sure! The pool is located in close proximity to the rec and park center , soccer fields, and baseball fields as well as picnic tables, grills, trash collectors, bathrooms, and grassy tree covered knolls, which would make a day trip complete for any size...
Read moreThere isn't many places to sit. Bringing your own fold out chairs is highly recommended. The water was a tad bit cloudy. It isn't that big either. It says online they close at 8 but someone's review said it closed at 7. While we were gathering our stuff to leave there were people still coming. So I dunno.
