I contacted No Bad Days Kayak in mid-April to purchase a Hammerhead Whale Shark kayak. When I called I spoke with David - he said they had one left ready to ship if I wanted it and it happened to be in the color I wanted! So yeah, of course I bought it. David was great, answered all my questions about upgrading the seat (to swivel) and drive system (to a motor) later on, and got me a tracking number for my kayak. It takes a bit of time to get from Texas to New York, so I waited patiently and the day finally came. It was a rainy day, but it came triple wrapped in giant plastic bags so that was cool... it was a few days before I could do an 'unboxing' video and - uh, oh - when I removed the layers of plastic bags I discovered the kayak had some damage that occurred in shipping and was unusable. Well, these things happen sometimes, so I immediately contacted No Bad Days Kayak and spoke with David. He assured me they would make it right, made some calls, and told me my new kayak would be shipped out immediately. They located one at their supplier, made arrangements, and less than a week later, my new kayak arrived safe and sound to my driveway. Super fast shipping! I've spoken to David and the owner Forrest a number of times over the course of the last month and they have been just fantastic. NBDK takes care to use quality shipping companies, so it's a rare occasion that damage occurs, but they made it right and stood behind their promise of great customer service. It is a pleasure doing business with Forrest and David and will continue to be a loyal customer for all my kayaking needs - they carry several different lines of quality kayaks and accessories so I'll be putting in more orders soon. ...
Read moreI purchased my first kayak (and a couple of accessories) from No Bad Days Kayak in New Braunfels, TX on 11-17-23. Due to it being a high demand model and nearing Christmas/New Years, I expected it wouldn’t be in my possession until just after the new year or longer. Well, that isn’t how this company does business. I was notified 12-17-23 of my kayak’s arrival at the store, but told them I couldn’t receive it until after 12-26 because I was leaving the state for the holidays. I received a call last night (12-26-23) from the business owner who asked if I’d be available the following day for delivery. I informed him I would be. He personally drove it to me, arriving in late afternoon, and I’m 3.5-4 hours from either of their two stores. Upon arrival, he helped me load it in my truck and offered to go over the kayak with me (having told him I’m new to kayaks). He was in no hurry to leave, even though he still had other kayaks to deliver. I’m not the smartest man in the world, but that showed me he cares about his customers. Quite a rarity this day and age. As I was told when I bought the kayak, “Once a customer, you’re a customer for life.” From salesperson to delivery, I’ve been impressed with this business. If/when I purchase another kayak, it will be from No Bad Days Kayak. **Before purchasing my kayak, I did not know anyone at this business and I’m not related in any way to anyone there. This is just my honest review of my dealings with No Bad Days Kayak to date. I highly recommend stopping by the New Braunfels or Pflugerville Texas locations and checking out their kayaks and kayak...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about these guys. I just purchased a Hobie Kayak from them and it turned out to have an issue. Fortunately, Forest, the owner, and Luke who works there went out of their way to make sure my issue was resolved. I am very happy on how things turned out. They carry nothing but high quality kayaks such as Hobie, Native, Jackson, etc and also have an online store. There is a good inventory of accessories. They also will give you a discount when you purchase accessories for a period of time when you buy a new kayak from them and will install them for free. It's good to have a great business close by that has a personal touch. They make sure that you are happy with your experience with them. I highly recommend them and will continue to go there for all my...
