Man, where do I begin???
Pull up, and you're greeted with great customer service. Patient and respectful because I'm not so sure what I wanted to try with so many options. Everything is fairly priced compared to anywhere else if not better. A+ first impression.
I decided to get a few things after my partner had a hard time deciding. We got the Mongolian beef stir-fry with fried rice, the salt and pepper shrimp w/ jalapeños and fried rice, and the combo Lo Mein with a 32oz horchata.
Mongolian beef stir-fry was cooked perfectly. Very good amount of beef and vegetables(carrots and celery. I think onions too). Beef was very tender and seasoned well. Not too overpowering and my partner said it was the perfect spice level for her to where she didn't have to add anything to it! Veggies were cooked and evenly tender with the beef.
Salt and pepper shrimp w/ jalapeños are amazing! I love this dish and try to get it when I can. Shrimps are huge compared to anywhere else I've had it. Perfectly seasoned and lightly breaded fried. You do get the entire shrimp with the head so that's a plus in my book. GREAT amount of onions and jalapeños with it. It's amazing!! Most other places don't even add half the amount this place does.
Fried rice option instead of regular rice gets its own praise! It's not your typical fried rice add on you'd get elsewhere. A lot of places now a days only do white rice stir fried with a little bit of seasoning and soy sauce and they call it good. Not this place! They season and add the proper veggies to it as well. It may not seem like much but the carrots and peas just makes it feel like the effort was given to provide the best.
Combo Lo Mein smelt like we just had the gates of heaven opened. It looked as good as it tasted for sure. Noodles were nice and al dente with sauce from the gods. Great amount of meat and shrimp as well as carrots, green onions and regular onions. Everything was tender and will melt you away to heaven as well as melting away in your mouth of course lol. Even my 19 month old baby loved these noodles!!
Horchata was sweeeeet but that's how it is sometimes. It had a good balance of cinnamon and sweetness to it though. Unlike my partner I'm not a big fan of cinnamon but this made me take some big ole swigs. I almost felt bad for drinking so much of it lol. Hell I'd come back just for the horchata.
All in all I would have to say this is one of the best Asian food spots I've been to. Portion sizes are large as well. I've had it for lunch and still have some left for dinner! This place beats a lot of Asian food restaurants around by a long shot. I think I've found a new go to spot for my Asian food. If you want large portions and crazy good Asian food then this is your...
Read moreHad a great experience grabbing lunch from this Chinese food spot in the local food truck park. Service was impressively quick, and the food did not disappoint. The chicken with green beans is a must-try—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and hits just right, especially if you ask them to kick up the spice level (yes, they’ll customize it for you!).
The outdoor seating area is decently clean, covered with a roof, and there’s a fan running which makes a huge difference during these brutal Texas summer days. It’s casual, convenient, and full of flavor. Would...
Read moreFirst time trying this food truck out. It's close to my home so that's nice. I ordered egg rolls, salt and pepper with jalapeno chicken wings, and fried catfish. The fried catfish was pretty mediocre and it came with seasoned fries. The egg rolls were not good at all. But the wings were really really good and came with a side of fried rice. I would definitely get the wings again and next time I will try the sesame chicken it looks really good...
