I recently started going to Perspire Sauna Studio and had enjoyed my experiences up until now—visiting about four times in the past month. Before committing to a membership, I always make sure to thoroughly evaluate not just the services, but also how a business treats its customers. Unfortunately, after a recent experience on 1/29/25, I will not be returning to the 4404 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX location.

One of their policies requires customers to place used towels in a designated bin after their sauna session. This is completely reasonable, and I have always followed this rule without exception. However, during my most recent visit, I unintentionally left behind one small eucalyptus-infused hand towel—a courtesy towel provided by the studio. I cleaned up my other towels (three in total) and even handed them directly to an attendant before leaving.

Shortly after I left (before I even got home), I received a templated text from the General Manager:

"Hello Vincent, This is the staff at Perspire Austin Southwest. We enjoyed hosting you for your last session. Moving forward, please help our staff by putting your towels in the towel drop. (End of the hall on the right, across from the bathroom). Thanks!"

At first, I was completely confused because I had already cleaned up and physically handed over my towels. Wanting to clear up any misunderstanding, I immediately called the studio. After a brief hold, I was connected with the manager (and owner), whom I had never met before.

She informed me that I had left behind the small courtesy hand towel on top of the sauna. I was shocked that such a minor and clearly accidental oversight warranted an impersonal, automated message. When I tried to explain, she spoke over me and dismissed my concerns by saying, “Most people are not offended.” And she said said she's "never seen a towel left up there."

When I asked if she had checked with the studio team to confirm whether I had cleaned up at all, she flat-out admitted, "No, they were preoccupied." So rather than verifying the situation, she jumped to conclusions and sent a blanket message accusing me of not cleaning up at all.

To make matters worse, she then condescendingly asked if I “deal with the general public.” This felt like an attempt to justify her approach rather than acknowledge the poor communication. Yes, I do deal with the public, and I can confidently say this is not how you handle customer service.

If this was truly a standard template text, it would have been far more appropriate for the manager to gather the correct information first or at the very least personalize the message to the actual offense. Instead, I was made to feel as though I had intentionally disregarded the rules, which was not the case at all.

This experience was unnecessary, poorly handled, and left a terrible impression. I will never return to this location, and I strongly suggest that the owner seek proper management and customer...

I visited this business this past weekend. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. My husband and I were greeted by a very friendly front desk person. He took the time to give us a tour, explain the rooms and the setup and then showed is the front area. The front area had water and juice for sale as well as swear enhancers. The rooms are setup with an enclosed infrared sauna that also had chromatography lighting to enhance the experience depending on what you are needing. Ie we used the red light to boost collagen and muscle repair. The second part of the room contains a sitting chair, a mounted TV and 2 cool wet towels that have eucalyptus on them for after the session. You are shown a video that explains how everything works and then you have your 40 minute session. You can watch whatever on the TV during that time. It is by far one of the most relaxing experiences. The studio is super clean and the rooms are private. They provide an ample about of towels and they have an area to put them when finished. This location is at William cannon and mopac. Next to golds gym and a bunch of eateries. Perfect for after the gym or after work wind down. Perfect for couples and friends wanting to catch up. Check it out you won't be...

I bought a membership at the Triangle location the eight session membership. I asked when purchasing if I could use at all locations. They said yes, with no addendum. I have been to the triangle location many times great service, clean sauna, and good customer service. I even had a good interaction with a lovey woman spa attendant when booking my appointment today. The Pete, went and ruined all that hard work. I got a call saying that even though I have a membership I pay $159 for that comes with eight sessions, “ I have to put my card on file just in case of a no show. Because they are not owned by the same people.” Said by Pete so I should just do it. The thing is I pay for a monthly membership I’m supposed to use at any location. I don’t plan on not showing up but life can be unpredictable, I could get in an accident. I am fine with it being taken from one of my sessions but apparently that is impossible because, they aren’t owned by the same people. Something that wasn’t shared when purchasing this package. Also Pete had horrible...

I enjoyed this experience at Perspire Sauna! This place was super clean and cozy. The staff was awesome, taking the time to explain everything and make sure I was comfy. I've never had a sauna before, so it was a completely unique experience for me. My sauna room was a private oasis with all the cool tech stuff. You can customize your session with different-colored lights (each color with its own benefits) and even get some red light therapy. There's a TV in there too, so you can watch your fave shows. Time just flew by in my 40-minute session, and the speakers inside the sauna were a nice touch. The cooling eucalyptus towel was a fantastic way to end the session. The team was super understanding when I had to reschedule due to accidents on the road, and they were very kind and accommodating. Overall, Perspire Sauna was amazing - clean, chill, and rejuvenating. I just wish there was one up north that was closer to me.
