Sprenger Health Care Towne Center Community Campus — Local services in Avon Lake

We transferred our mother here 3 months ago because she was being neglected at her last facility. I hesitated to put her through the trauma of a move due to her mental condition but knew I couldn’t leave her where she was either. I thought all these places are the same and I’m just going to uproot her to the same. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This facility is like night and day from where she came from. There is always plenty of very helpful staff who are present, attentive, and involved (unlike the last place who had maybe 1 aide who sat with her phone in her face the entire time she was working). The place is always clean with no smells. My mother is clean with no smells. If I ask for something it gets done, and it gets done right away. I had a care plan review on day 1 and again after 3 months (it had been a year and a half since I had one at the last place). My mother is happy and has adjusted very well to her new surroundings. And I promise you … I am NOT staff being paid to write a 5 star review. This is well deserved. I am very happy with my mother’s care here. When you come from and see bad care, you know what good...

This is a BEAUTIFUL FACILITY but their staff and management on BOTH SIDES needs to be terminated...LIKE YESTERDAY! I think all these 5-star reviews are from employees that work there and they aint worth the money they get paid. Like some have said, these 5 star reviews are fake! Staff, especially the aides, are LAZY!!! The scheduler doesnt do her job well on the longterm side, always severely underataffed. When she has to work the floor, she doesnt help either. Managment sit in their office all day and does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! They have no clue what goes on bc they wont come out of their office. They think they are too good. No team work! The place is not clean. Residents food is served cold and they dont put lids on top when serving the food. This place doesnt deserve good staff. That is why they are always leaving and the residents are left with the mediocre workers. Give me a hole in the wall place with solid staff any day of the week! This is the greatest and most remarkable nursing facility that I have ever imagined existing.

It far exceeds my expectations, and blows me away. I have seen many nursing facilities and this is by far the best.

It's luxury resort living, mixed with top notch nursing care.

The furnishings are beautiful, around every corner is a beautiful sitting room or area that more often than not has a fireplace. (I've never seen so many fireplaces!) There's a billiards room, a pub area, an indoor pool, a putting green, something like 5 lovely courtyards, cafe's, a Main Street that has all the places that you'd want to visit, from a post office, and salon, to a delightful cafe', and Towne Hall. There's also a theater room, and aside from the gala sized dining halls, a glass ceilinged food court area complete with a giant fish tank, with living coral and amazing fish. Just extraordinary.

The staff is chipper and upbeat, and everyone does their part to help make it a great place to be.
