We recently visited Las Margaritas for our first time. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Upon walking in, I noticed the environment as clean and modern, with pretty pops of color in the table runners. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly, respectful, and professional. That is just the beginning of our experience. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful, truly authentic, with generous proportions. The service was quick and courteous. Noticing the sign that the restaurant also caterers, I was curious as I had my son's upcoming graduation party planned. After inquiring about the catering, I was able to meet the owner of the restaurant, Rogelio. It was a pleasure to meet Rogelio. He is very kind and generous and I felt welcomed. Although I previously had food ordered for the graduation party, and after enjoying our meal at Las Margaritas, I decided to order the taco bar, chicken enchiladas, and corn (elote- corn on the cobb with mayonnaise and cheese and seasoning, a first for me) for my son's party. And this was what really surprised me: after conversing with Rogelio, he permitted me to borrow his chafing dishes for my party. I was amazed. He did not know me and he was kind and trusting and it meant so much to me that he would lend them to me. The staff kindly and efficiently loaded the chafing dishes into my car and when I returned them, the staff promptly removed them from my car. Amazing! Everyone we encountered was friendly and gracious. The taco bar I ordered had chicken and beef, chicken enchiladas and corn was a huge hit at the party. The food was fresh, flavorful, and abundant, with all the fixings of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, chips, salsa, hard and soft tortillas and shells and seasoning, and special hot sauce included. Guests were asking me about where the food came from and I received many compliments on it. Some guests had elote for the first time like me, and it was fun to try something new. I was happy to let everyone know about Las Margaritas and our experience there. Do not take it from me, please experience it for yourself. You too may be more than pleasantly surprised and delighted that you did! Thank you Rogelio and thank you to your...
Read moreI’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, but this meal left me speechless—and not in a good way.
Chips & Queso: Somehow stale. They forgot the queso.
Queso Fundido: Looked promising, but arrived barely warm and tragically congealed. Cheese lovers deserve better.
Chicken Tenders & Fries: The tenders (nugget) not like the online order certainly was not tender and they were dry and flavorless, like they'd been microwaved into oblivion. Fries were limp and unseasoned—zero crunch, zero joy.
Wings & Fries (10 pcs): Wings were cold, under-sauced, and oddly rubbery, definitely not 10 wing in the order . Fries again showed up like they were reheated from leftovers.
I called the restaurant directly to voice my concerns—not once, but four separate times. Each time, I was put on hold and then hung up on. No one took ownership, no one offered an apology, and no one attempted to make things right. The indifference was staggering. After being stonewalled repeatedly, I finally contacted DoorDash to report the issue myself.
Delivery was on time, which I appreciated. But no amount of punctuality can salvage a $48 meal that tastes like regret and reheated confusion.
Sometimes you're hungry. Sometimes you're hopeful. This time, my family and I were both hopeful—and unfortunately, disappointed.
Please do better with your...
Read moreA year ago I discovered the new restaurant on the block, Las Margaritas which after two different dining experiences and a variety of six different meals sampled I strongly recommended dining there or ordering takeout. I noted that for value, quality of food, quantity of food, ambience and even price when portion size is factored in, it's no contest, Las Margaritas wins!!!
A year later after many, many more meals, I can honestly state that I've never had a bad meal from Las Margaritas. Meal by meal and day by day, they continue to build their reputation for great food and service. If you haven't tried Las Margaritas, you are truly missing out on a great dining experience. This year they have a liquor license so you can enjoy a favorite adult beverage with your meal if you so wish.
See you there!
Fast forward to May 2025 and my wife and I have returned to Avon Lake for the next six months. After four days in town , it was time to renew the joy of dining at Las Margaritas. Without belaboring the point, I stand by everything I said last year and the year before. They will remain my go to place for everything they do whenever I'm in greater Cleveland area and crave heaping helpings of delicious southwestern style foods at reasonable prices. Their beverage menu will make you...
