This was our first time going and we have heard great things about the restaurant. We didn't have to wait long for a table of 2 which was nice. I ordered the burritos deluxe, and my girlfriend ordered chimichangas with green sauce. We had a difficult time ordering because the waiter barely spoke English. When our food arrived, mine was correct, but my girlfriend's food wasn't. Also, she showed me that half of each of her 5 chimichangas were actually empty so they all were only half filled. Also she didn't get the green sauce, they gave her the red. I wanted to mention it to the waiter, bur the language issue was hard ebough to ordet. We were asked if we wanted more chips and salsa so I said yes. The waiter brought us salsa, but not chips. The chicken burrito was good, but the beef didn't stick out from other places. They were also a little small in comparison. My girlfriend's tortillas were soggy and fell apart right away. Mine weren't soggy, but they weren't closed enough and my food spilled out of them. Eventually, we received the check and when I used a credit card, they brought back my card, plopped it on the table, and didn't even give me a pen to fill out the receipt. I had to ask someone else for a pen. We will go back to try it again be caused it tasted well, but it definitely didn't live up to the hype...Atleast not for...
Read moreWith the first heat wave of summer upon us in northeastern OH after, neither my wife nor I feel like cooking on a Thursday night. After a look at several restaurant menus for some takeout, we settle on a taco salad with pulled chicken and a taco fajita salad with grilled chicken from our favorite nearby purveyor of Mexican cuisine. Both are served in a n edible crispy tortilla bowl. The bowl was spot on perfect but the portion looked really undersized compared to past versions of that menu item. We quickly realized that while there was ample chicken, onions, green peppers along with the sour cream and extra guacamole, this salad had but the tiniest sprinkling of shredded lettuce. I do not exaggerate! Sprinkling is the only word to describe the almost complete lack of any lettuce in two dishes that are grouped in the salad section of the menu. Seriously, what was the chef/cook thinking? Oops, he/she wasn't! We were disappointed but one of the things I expect from any restaurant is a reasonable consistency of the product. Had we dined there instead of takeout, I would have sent it back to the kitchen to dress it up and make it look like a salad and not a side sprinkling of shredded lettuce. Better luck next...
Read moreI ordered from this restaurant via door dash. I ordered the enchiladas verdes which comes filled with chicken and a choice of green or ranchero sauce. I chose the green sauce and got charged $2 extra for choosing after the initial purchase went through. I would figure that the sauce comes as part of the meal and isn't an extra and it certainly wasn't explained on door dash that sauce costs extra! The enchiladas also came with shrimp inside instead of chicken. I complained via door dash and got a $5 credit for having to pay to choose the sauce. The food was actually very good, it's just kind of a big oversight to put shrimp into something that's only ever served with chicken and to charge that extra amount...
Edit: I decided to try again because the food is actually good. Unfortunately, when ordering chicken enchiladas a second time they gave me shrimp again. I think there must be some kind of miscommunication between the Door Dash system and the restaurant's. I'm still unable to find any enchilada item on their menu that contains shrimp. This time I got full credit for the meal since this is the second time it's happened. I really like the food here, just wish they'd serve up what...
