I usually never write reviews but the experience just made me sad. I come to this Marshalls often and most of the time I have a great experience. The last couple times I have come, Brittany has helped check me out and she never says hello, just quickly and abruptly asks me if I have the Marshalls’s credit card. When I say no she continues to push me to get one. When it’s clear I don’t want one she doesn’t try to make conversation the rest of the time.
Mind you, I am always nice to every individual I interact with and politely try to make conversation. Interestingly, I observe her before she checks me out and she makes conversation with customers that want the card. This has not just a one time occurrence, this has happened several times.
I spend lots of money here and unfortunately this is making me uncomfortable because Brittany is in a leadership position. I always try to position myself in line so I don’t have to be checked out by her. She seems like a lovely person but I would not like to be ignored because I don’t want or have the...
Read moreThis store in Avon CT has the worst manager or assistant whoever it is. When I was returning a thing bought 4 days back he could not find it on my reciept and him qnd one more lady was interrogating me as if I was doing something wrong and bringing a part if the item. Problem is they do not know the items they keep in the store. I left that itme there without taking any money. They didn't even hqve any courtesy to make me comfortable. This is not the first time tvis has happened ed at this store with the same manager. Not the cashier but the male manager who manages or may be mismanaged things there. Last month I encountered him again and he was so adamantly admit that the item that I wanted to buy was marked incorrectly and I paid double the price I paid for the same thing in Homewood same day. The tag on the item that I bought didn't even belong there. I would give this store a minus 5 rating for this store. Most of the cashiers also do not look happy a several times under...
Read moreMarshall's is a discount retail chain; they purchase overstock/out of season items from manufacturers and sell it for a lower price. There are 1236 stores in the US and Canada.
I'm a fan of this Marshall's; it's big, clean, and organized. It is very similar to the HomeGoods (which is owned by the same company) in the same plaza. I love their clearance racks which can be found at the end of the aisles. A great place to bargain shop. I've always loved TJ Maxx and Marshall's is essentially its sibling.
The following types of products can be found at Marshall's; footwear, clothing, bath, bedding, home decor, furniture, beauty products, jewelry, housewares, toys, giftware, and per supplies. I loved their candles and random skincare, and soaps. The clothes were pretty decent if you dig around the racks. The employees were friendly. Overall, a fun place to shop and you can find some treasures; as their slogan says, "Your surprise is waiting and never boring, always...
