Dr. Arango is an amazing dentist and an even better person. She is a 5 star dentist and person. However, The new office management group that has come in has done nothing but cause confusion and lose customers. We have been customers for close to 30 years even before Dr. Arango took over the practice. Since the new office manager (Nicole) and company have taken over day to day management, everything has gone downhill.

They sent out a letter to ALL clients saying that a certain type of insurance (not mine) would no longer be in network. Then they sent out a follow up saying that was a mistake. When I went in for a cleaning, they charged me more than just a co-pay and informed me that we were no longer in network AFTER I had the cleaning done. I called to ask why and Nicole told me she would look into and get back to me which she never did. If you are going to switch the insurance that you accept, every single client should be informed of the switch via email. That never happened other than the insurance letter they mistakenly sent out then retracted. Also, front desk staff tried to charge me for something extra. When I pointed that out, she went through the computer and said “sorry, our mistake, someone forgot to reset it for you.” So if I had not questioned it, I would’ve paid a lot more for a simple computer error. Very concerning.

I asked the front desk staff to have Dr. Arango call me back since we have been clients for such a long time. I wanted to let her know that my family and I appreciated her but that we would have to move to another practice since our insurance is no longer in network. The front desk staff did not even pass my message on to Dr. Arango despite the fact that I have been a client for 20+ years and consider Dr. Arango a friend.

So, to summarize, Dr. Arango, Dr. Hamidi, and the hygienist staff are wonderful people and great dentists.

The new office management crew, however, seems to be fine with forcing 30 year, loyal clients out the door without even a thought. They are borderline incompetent, with several major insurance/deductible mistakes already taking place in the brief time they have been in place.

They also fail to pass messages on to Dr. Arango to let her know that they are costing her loyal, long-term clients. I hope that the new office staff does not impact the wonderful, deserved reputation that Dr. Arango has built in this area. My family is very sad to be leaving this practice and we feel as though we are being forced out by people who have no idea how long my family has been a part of this practice. It has been a huge inconvenience for all of us, including my 8 month pregnant wife who had to cancel her appointment and is now scrambling for a new practice.

It’s sad to see a wonderful, family practice replaced by a soulless corporation who only care about maximizing profits and not about the clients they serve.

Again, I want to stress this 1 star is for the office management staff and not any of the doctors or hygienists on staff. They are all wonderful...

I got a filling done with one of the dentist here. Then had continued pain in the tooth after the filling that never resolved. I was given false reassurance that the pain would eventually go away. It never did. I had to go back for the owner Dr Arango herself to fix that filling. Then I got a second bill for Dr Arango fixing the original filling that was botched by one of her dentist in the first place. Practically they wanted to bill me twice for the same filling because they had to fix their own work. I shouldn't be billed for the dentist's mistake. It should have been done right the first time. And their dentist's incompetence shouldn't be at my financial expense. I spoke with them about this additional filling charge and I thought this bill was taken care of by the office. Now, i see them sending me the same bill again, just now for a different amount for the same date of service. I spoke to Tatiana about this and she "clarified" that the charge was for oral cancer screen and a fluoride application and that my insurance didn't cover it. I never got these services, neither did I need those services. What I got was Dr Arango fixing the filling. I explained to Tatiana the situation and that I never got those services, nor was that ever communicated that i was getting those services and that they are fraudulent charges. Her response was a dead end "I'm sorry" and no follow up. She could careless that this is fraud or bring this up to her hire up manager it seems. Her attitude is: "not my buisness or license, so not my problem" So now I am forced to go to an outside source to report these false charges to resolve this issue because their front desk is a dead end. I asked her to send me documentation of the work done for that date of service and the itemized bill...still...

This was the best experience I have ever had at a dentist's office. The entire staff team created a warm and welcoming environement from the moment I stepped foot in the office.

Dr. Badei has great bedside manner and uses a thourough and comprehensive approach to dental and oral health. He has a patient and calming presence; he took the time to clearly explain his diagnosis and his treatment plan answering all of my questions and adjusted his language/ terminology to fit my understanding. He gave me all of the information I needed to make an informed decision about my dental health. I had come to this office for a diagnostic exam and he was also able to provide the dental procedure that I needed the same day. He walked me through the whole process of the procedure and ensured my comfort the entire time. His dedication to his feild clearly shines through his holistic approach to patient care and excellent procedureal skill.

I left the office with my concerns validaited, questions answered, and my dental problems corrected with a solid plan for maintaing my dental health going forward. I am a medical trainee and I hope to one day be able to provide the same level of care to my future patients that Dr. Badei does. I am so greatful to have found Smiles at beauregaurd square and I strognly recomend him to my family...
