Restaurant was clean, quiet, and cozy.
Excellent customer service. (I came in and was seated immediately, given a menu, and just long enough to decide.)
Food arrived in a timely fashion. Appetizer arrived first. Spring rolls. Super crispy and flakey. They were also cut in half, which was definitely appreciated. They were tasty and held my attention until the star of the show arrived.
#4. Combination Pho w/ bible tripe and meatballs added. Big bowl of hot steamy soup arrived first. It looked amazing, but admitted naked, until the plate piled high with sprouts and fresh green vibrantly scented basil leaves (no stems), lime, and Jalapenos slices arrived. After rolling them up and tearing the basil into thin ribbons, everything was tossed into the pool! (Or should i say hot tub) Soup was an amazing experience. It was flavorful and delicious and absolutely fulFILLING. The meat was super tender. Even the tripe had a good chew but was not chewy. Normally I will preemptively order extra meat. I am SO glad I didnt this time. There was enough of EVERYTHING in this beautiful soup. By the time I switched from the chopsticks to the soup spoon, I was FULL as a tick, and satisfied. I eventually pushed the bowl away, leaving at least a cup or so of that golden amazing broth behind. I decided to pay the bill and leave, for fear of falling into a food coma.
One notable moment I just remembered:
I am a lemonade addict. So if a restaurant allows, I will order copious amounts of refills. At one point, I asked for a refill. (I raised my glass and tapped it, gesturing for a refill.) My glass was taken, filled with ice water. Which was a blessing in disguise. As is customary at most Pho restaurants, the lemon (or sometimes lime) ade is not only housemade, but usually made a glass at a time. Lemon+sugar+plus ice+water. A perfect lemonade, but maybe not healthy to drink by the liter or gallon. Lol. So thank you Pho Factory for watching out for my health. If left to my own devices, I surely wouldve ended up in a food AND diabetic coma.
I will...
Read moreThe food was decent, but the service was poor. I had a horrible experience, and I would suggest other customers think twice before going here or reviewing their bill before paying. The minimal standard tip for average service at a sit-down restaurant is between 15 and 18%, depending on the service offered. Even though I am a big tipper, I felt tricked. Normally, when you receive a bill, you expect them to charge you correctly and advise you on the next step of a screen if you aren't too sure, but this restaurant not only did not disclose that a tip had already been applied (had a party of 4 only), but when they took it upon themselves to add an additional tip themselves and later asked that you simply sign. They then hand me the total sum of my receipt, not the whole printout of itemized food and other items. I had to request a full printout to notice that it did not tally correctly and to understand how the sum was incorrectly added up. When I called them out, they responded in a rude manner, stating that there was nothing they could do to reimburse me that percentage and refusing to offer any compensation for the error they claimed. It was startling that I had to demand a pho meal as a substitute just to get things moving, but they didn't even want to offer it to me; they probably only consented because they wanted to close shop and get the hell...
Read moreI was disappointed at this restaurant.
The service was quick but in a bad way. They asked us what we wanted as SOON as we sat down. We didn't even get a chance to look at the menu. We love pho so we knew what we wanted but not even introduction and asking us what we wanted to drink made us feel a rushed.
The pho was on the expensive end and there wasn't a lot of meat. The broth was also oily.
The summer roll was ok. Nothing that would really make it stand out.
I was thinking this restaurant was a solid 3 when the waitress came up and offered to fill our Thai ice tea glasses with water, I asked for a new glass but she just filled the same glass with water. That definitely brought it down a star.
There are plenty of pho restaurants near this one, I'm going to give them a...
