This is my 3rd escape room. I did 2 in bakersfield at two different locations and 1 in LA. But unfortunately, this comes at 3rd place. Myself and 2 other friends did the “Secrets of the Siren” escape room and it was labeled as easy-moderate difficulty room. We were told to listen to the directions from speaker and we had trouble hearing it so we didn’t even understand what the story was about or the directions. We had a rocky trying to figure out how to unlock the first lock and already needed a hint. Hints were shown on the tv screen notifying you with a “ding” sound. After we got the 1st clue, it kind of got the ball rolling for us. Mind you, it was one of my friend’s first time doing an escape room. Throughout the first room, we did need several hints, but eventually we got to the 2nd room. It was more like a hallway space, smaller than the first room. We did need 1 clue in that space. Then we got to a third room. Mind you there was not another tv screen in the last 2 rooms, so I had to walk back every single time we heard the “ding” which was kind of annoying. Same in the 3rd room, we needed several hints. We came across an issue with on the jewel things when we lined it up together It was supposed to trigger something. It wasn’t working. So a staff came in and checked for us and she did give a more time. After that, we were able to escape with 52 seconds left. I’m sure if she didn’t help us or gave us more time we would’ve lost. Also, the stickers of the chess pieces on the wall, werent really clear. Maybe bigger stickers? Overall it was an okay experience. I would suggest not coming in the summer either. The rooms were pretty warm and some of us were sweating from...
Read moreJaven, We wanted to thank you for a wonderful experience. We had twelve in our group and we split into two. One group participated in the “I Want Him Dead: A Mafia Story” and the other six participated in “Who-Dun-It”
From the moment I stepped into the dimly lit lobby of Ingenious Escapes, I was greeted by an atmosphere charged with anticipation. The staff member, Matthew, was friendly and eager to set the stage for our adventures, explaining the rules and backstory for my group - “I Want Him Dead: A Mafia Story”
My group was fortunate enough to break into Al Capone's speakeasy, plant a bomb and escape to safety without injury. Your puzzles were unique and we laughed as we rushed to get the clues solved and on to the next task. The attention to detail was impressive, with intricate decorations and props creating an immersive environment that immediately drew me in. The room was spacious enough to accommodate our group comfortably while still maintaining a sense of confinement that added to the tension and excitement.
Group Two participated in ”Who-Dun It” . The players expressed that this detective mystery was ingeniously crafted, seamlessly integrated into the narrative of the room. Each clue and riddle felt like a piece of a larger puzzle, requiring collaboration and critical thinking to solve. From unlocking hidden compartments to deciphering clues, every challenge was thoughtfully designed to keep all involved both engaged and on their toes.
Thank you again for giving us all such a...
Read moreIf Sherlock Holmes and Scooby-Doo had a lovechild, it would be the Who Dunit room at Ingenious Escape Rooms! Picture this: four amateur detectives, one mission – to unravel the mystery of 'whodunit,' 'howdunit,' and most importantly, 'whydunit.'
Our adventure began with the punctuality of a tortoise on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but fear not, for Dakota, our guide extraordinaire, was as patient as a kindergarten teacher on the first day of school. Despite our tardiness, he welcomed us to begin our sleuthing journey.
As we delved deeper into the room, we encountered more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. Clues lurked in every nook and cranny, and we scavenged through them like raccoons raiding a trash can at midnight.
But let's talk about those hints. Ah, the hints! Like a beacon of hope in a sea of confusion, they rescued us from the brink of despair more times than we care to admit. Dakota, with his subtle nudges guided us back on track whenever we threatened to veer off into the abyss of cluelessness.
And lo and behold, after much laughter, a few groans, and a liberal sprinkling of 'aha!' moments, we emerged victorious! The culprit unmasked, the mystery unraveled, and our egos inflated to the size of hot air balloons.
So, to anyone seeking an escapade filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a touch of mystery, look no further than Ingenious...
