Calvary Chapel Bakersfield — Attraction in Bakersfield

I won’t return to this church I was a fan of the calvary chapel church movement untill morning to Bakerfield This Church needs help mainly due to The Lead Pastor His Name Is Mike He Never made any effort to make me feel welcome and when given the chance to connect with me he did all he could not too I attended for over 6 months going to Sunday service often with my wife and or alone also going to Wednesday night Bible study with Wife and or alone and to take it one more step I was weekly to the Monday night men’s Bible study and that was the best time ever but his is the time when Myself and Pastor mike were at the closest Me Being The Only Black Man Around Each week he never once came up and Said Hi I don’t think we met I mean I’m sure some will say two way street but Hey Der were 20-50 other men that possibility spoke or didn’t speak to me as well But The pastor hurt me the most need less to say we have had other en counters as well and he did not take those times to make me feel at home so I say all this to say that What I once thought was my Church home is no longer dude to how This location has made me and my wife feel No Not saying only cause I’m Black it’s also what...

No pantry again today. This is only my fifth try. Two men argued with me that I was wrong so I am posting what is on the internet. One man said they hadn't updated the listing in 3 years. Maybe they don't really want to serve the community. They just want to enjoy having the reputation for service. This isn't the only church where I have experienced this but the first one to be so rude.

Imagine if Jesus scheduled the last supper and when all the preparations were made and they came to Jesus to say everything was ready, he said, "No! It's not this Friday. It's the last Friday after the Wednesday and Thursday of the third week in the fourth month in the fourteenth year of Uzziah.". And imagine Jesus doing that five times. They might think there is something wrong with JC. That's what I'm thinking about Calvary Chapel food pantry. 😂

Preaching from John clear and bold from Hosea, sweet worship like 6-7 songs on a Wednesday night. Importantly my 7 year old had a really positive time in kids church. Kids church had a big turn out and great team serving. My 19 year old son liked the details and context. Teenage daughter “bored” but plenty of seeds sown, for us to pray over her heart.
