Sooooo anyone that knows my wife, Brandy Lynn knows she lives for her rebs candies "chocolate jimmy truffles" from rebs in Baltimore. We now live in Sc. & she says NO ONE makes candy like Rebs Candy company. Once or twice a year when visiting family, she gets her chocolates before we leave baltimore. I mean, they gave her a rebs shirt this time! Lol i guess shes a super fan & customer!! Anyhow, she was soooo happy this time beings it also happen to be her "time of the month" , & not to mention we attended an unexpected emotional funeral for her stepmother.... & rebs chocolates helps her cope with literally anything for her! Anyways, besides the half pound box she usually buys, she bought herself a small bag of like 5 extra for the ride home so she wouldn't be teezed to open the box which she had rebs tie shut with ribbons! Well.... we get home & i didn't even get the van uploaded yet & she ran to the cooler to get her rebs... she opened the cooler & grabbed out the 1/2 pound box & the cardboard was so soaked from the water that it immediately fell apart. Her facial expression also melted from an excited smile to a look that should be against the law... Her candy was water logged as it melted away in her hand! Of course she blamed me & started what ended up being a tantrum lasting until the next day! Well im not positive who put the box in the cooler but im pretty sure it was her. Trying to fix this "end of the world" , I went out to the grocery store & bought the best brand of chocolate jimmiesi could find. I dried the truffles & rolled them in the jimmies & refrigerated them hoping & praying it worked. Well, it didn't :( ... The picture above is after i "tried" to make it right but i failed because they now taste like soaking wet hairballs! Lol, i already know that for me to order the chocolates from rebs online & have them delivered would just infuriate her more because my penny pinching wife would just get pissed that i paid so much so im in a really bad predicament & im looking for a solution, any ideas...
Read moreI was looking for a candy company that made chewy nougats. Although we have a candy company locally that has been in business since the late 1800’s, they do not have chewy milk chocolate nougats. I searched the web and finally found Rheb’s! It was not easy finding a company that provided chewy nougat’s, especially milk chocolate nougats. I emailed the company just to be sure. I am so impressed, first of all with the expediency in the delivery! I ordered these on the 3rd of February. I received them on the 5th which was today, a Saturday. They arrived in 2 days. We had 7 inches of snow in Michigan. In the stare where this company is located, they had plenty more than we had, actually, they had a blizzard. I also was able to choose the chocolates that I wanted. Unlike many companies where what you see is what you get. Literally, taking a bite and putting it back because you don’t like it, or leaving half the box because you don’t like dark chocolate or visa versa. I haven’t mentioned the cost either. The cost is so very reasonable I wish I would have bought a 2 lb. box. I am so impressed that I am going to write on all the web sites I am currently subscribed and write a review on each one of them. I am also going to tell all my chocolate lover friends and relatives about this wonderful company. I haven’t even mentioned the taste of these chocolates. Well, this is Monday, 2/7/22 and I’m finishing this review. The taste is phenomenal, pleasant and savory. The chocolate is smooth, velvety not bitter and has a great consistency that compliments the filling just right. SMELLING the chocolate I discovered the bouquet of aromatic notes, just amazing. I just ordered another box of chocolates. This time choosing the favorites out of the ones I picked out the first time. If you are on the fence about these chocolates or if you have always ordered from the big box chocolate companies, I suggest this Rheb’s, you...
Read moreOur favorite treat.....but I owe your establishment a good laugh with our most recent Valentines story....So on 2/10 I started noticing that my facebook friends were picking up their online orders, when I thought to myself..."OH NO! We forgot the Rhebs!". Realizing that we were facing bad weather, I went online to order, but found that the soonest pickup date would be 2/16....which is my fault for waiting. So my husband was kind enough to stop by and wait in line after work. I gave him a list of how many, and of which kind for a 2lb box, for our family of 5 to share. He was happy to report that we were able to get it all. He also got a 1/2 lb assortment for good measure. Well what I didn't realize is how much I was going to LOVE your salted caramel. They're truly amazing. By Friday evening, I realized that the family had gone through more than 1/2 the 2lb box.....And the salted caramels were all gone.....So I decided to drive by on Saturday 2/13 to see if there was a long line, and to my surprise there was only one person waiting outside! So I waited and proceeded to buy another 2lb box, and a 1/2lb box of some of the newer truffles that we hadn't tried yet. (cheesecake, Bailys etc)
I then had to go home, apologize in advance for what I had done, and tried to use my current pregnancy as an excuse.....
This was the husbands reply...."since we're on the topic of confessing things.....that other 1/2lb box that I purchased on Wednesday.......yeahhhhhh its not coming back......because it's gone."
It never even made it into our home. He ate all but 2 which he offered to 2 co-workers. All of this in the span of 3 days.
So what happened on Valentines Day you might ask? Grandma walks in with 3, 1/2 boxes of jimmy truffles....one for each of our 3...
