20 years ago (circa 2005), I was 10 years old and my parents took us all on a vacation to Boone. My mom wanted to stop in to this place and see if they had any quilts. While we were there, my mom decided it was time I got a big girl pillow that would last a while. I felt so grown up, getting to pick out such an expensive pillow. Well its been 20 years, and the pillow has served me well, but it was time to replace it. Picking out that pillow as a child was a core memory for me, and so i started the search, trying to figure out the name of the place we had gotten it from. I could remember exactly what the building looked like, but my parents had no idea what the name of the store was. Thank god they sew in a tag with their name on it. I knew a down pillow was gonna be pricey, and started setting a few dollars aside here and there, and then Hurricane Helene came through. So I waited. And waited. And yesterday, after years of wanting to make the 5 hour trek from Wilmington to get a new pillow, we made it. And just barely. We walked in 10 minutes before they closed (thank god they didnt close early!) and the young lady that helped me couldn't have been any sweeter. She would've let me lay my head on every pillow in the store if I had asked, even though i was clearly keeping her past close. And she was super knowledgeable- i told her how I sleep, and she pretty well narrowed it down to three pillows right off the bat. What i didn't realize is they offer a warranty on their pillows, so if I get home and decide it needs more or less feathers, I can mail it to them and theyll alter it. I dont anticipate needing that, but its nice that they offer it. If I were wealthy, my whole house would be outfitted with their pillows and comforters. Anyways - im so thankful this place this exists, and im certain ill be back. if youre in search of a down pillow or blanket, this is the place to go. Or if you want to give your child a core memory, let them go pick out a...
Read moreI purchased a pillow from this business last year for Christmas. The pillow was great to start with but started flattening out soon after. The pillow had been keep in a pillow case it’s entire life which has only been less than a year. Returned it to the company to have refilled with a different weight which was a free service if done within the first year and they called and said it had broke down to much for them to do anything with. So you are telling me a $200 dollar pillow with a 5 year warranty has broke down to much in less than a year and they told me sorry but they could give me 30% off a new one. This is a JOKE this company advertises a premium product but sells a mediocre if...
Read moreMy duvet was manufactured and shipped within 24 hours -- amazing turn-around for a custom order produced on site! The original cambric fabric is soft and I am so glad I chose it for the price point. It's best to order a lighter fill than what you think you need, as you can always add a flannel cover to take it up one level, but it's hard to make it cooler if it's too hot. The case it comes in is great for storing it off-season. My only suggestion is that they add corner ties for free on every duvet, which is standard in the industry (i.e. ties came on 3 other duvets we own from other companies of the same caliber). Will be back to buy another one for a...
