This place has a special spot in my heart. My boyfriend and I came to Boone in 2023 - our first trip together - and wandered into this pool hall. I think it’s important to note that we were both newly sober. We were having a hard time navigating early sobriety in general but pool was something we both enjoyed, so we thought we’d give it a try even though we knew it meant being around people drinking. We wandered into this place and about halfway through our first game, I looked at him and said “do you notice that no one in this place is drinking?” and he looked around and looked up at the menu and said “i don’t think they sell alcohol at all.” We were both baffled but it just felt like this little God shot that we were on the right path. We ordered some food and milkshakes, which was all delicious and we had the best evening. We try to go back at least once a year now to this very wholesome very...
Read moreThis place is right down the road from our house, but we weren't sure what to expect, so it took us a long time to go there. We went tonight and had a great time. The place is very nice: clean, well-maintained, well-lit, upbeat. It cheered me up just to go inside. The food was really good. There are no tables, but food bars that overlook the pool tables. There are a LOT of pool tables, so you don't have to worry about getting one. We had hand-breaded fried chicken with potato salad, cole slaw, deviled eggs and cheese biscuits: really good and more than we could eat for $8.75 per plate. Pool tables are $2.75 per person per hour. Our dinner out felt like a mini vacation. Also, because they don't serve alcohol, it really is a "family" place. We could play pool with our 13 year-old son in a completely wholesome environment. I can't say enough good things about this place. We're going to...

I haven't played pool here, as I've only been here for lunch, but it seems like their tables, and the place in general, are in great repair. My favorite lunch item is the club sandwich. It has turkey, ham, and bacon with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on a bread of your choice.
The interesting thing about this sandwich is that it uses three slices of bread. It's cut into quarters that are held together by a toothpick, but there's a slice of bread in the middle too. That may be common in certain circles, but it isn't common in most places I frequent. The funny thing is that I normally don't eat a lot of bread. I even order burgers from Wendy's with no bread and extra lettuce for a bun, but this is a really...
