New River Building Supply — Local services in Banner Elk

Took my own 4 keys to be cut. Paid $4 per key. The young girl totally mauled the keys on the machine. She kept saying she did it right. Obviously she didn't. The other lady came over and offered no correction or credit for my ruined keys. I always try to buy and use “local” but I will def be going to Lowes Buiding Supply from now on. They lost all of my future business over $16.

Update: I received personal responses from the owner and the manager, Luke, at New River Building Supply. They couldn’t have been more apologetic and went above and beyond trying to make this right. They offered to reimburse me for the ruined keys and to pay for new keys. I declined the offer only because small businesses have a hard enough time realizing profits and competing with Big Corporate.
