Survivor Knife ā First Time Buyer
As a first-time buyer I want to share my experience with everyone. I purchased the āSurvivor Knifeā but before I did, I had some questions. I reached out to Avery Knifeworks via email and spoke with a woman named: Malea. She is the Showroom Manager and the one running the show while Raleigh (Craftsman/Owner) is working hard at the forge. Malea is the epitome of what customer service everywhere should be. Full of knowledge and explained everything to me. Two things that most people probably donāt know about Avery Knifeworks: 1) If you served this country like I did, they do offer a Military Discount. Which is must appreciated! 2) For a small fee Raleigh will put your initials into the blade, to make your knife that much more special. I recently received my Survivor Knife in the mail and I am very excited because this is my First Forged in Fire Knife! How many people actually have one of these? It has character for sure, looks great, perfect size for me and very sharp. I have been Every Day Carry (EDC) on my belt horizontally using the provided sheath. Which is also handcrafted and built by Raleigh. One-of-a-kind sheaths and made specific for Averyās knives, which I think is awesome. I am fisherman and enjoy camping. When I go and do those two things, I will make sure I put my Survivor Knife to the test. What really matters is the use, will this blade last me? Only time can tell. At a later date, I will come back to this review and let everyone know how it held up. In the future I plan on purchasing the āCamp Knifeā and some kitchen knives. Lastly, if you live in the area but havenāt done so already, I recommend stopping into the store and checking out the showroom. I live a few states away but was on a road trip, so I did. I thought it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām really glad I was able to purchase 2 items from Raleigh Averyās online Store! I bought the railroad spike knife with leather sheath and a awesome trifold wallet. These are beautiful tools and works of art!!! Raleigh is an extremely talented young man! Iāve been watching the show Mountain Men for years and one of the main characters Eustice Conway would have different young and older adults to his property for a training course of sorts to prepare themselves for living outdoors and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Raleigh was chosen to be a āScoutāto learn from Eustice how to live a subsistence life style. Raleigh starred on the show under Eusticeās famous Turtle Island. I could tell Raleigh had more experience than most and when I found out he sold custom products to fit outdoors needs, hunting, fishing and all the work that comes with a lifestyle as he lives. Iām super happy to have met and spoke with him and his partner Malea both are very king and I was totally happy as ever!!! I plan on purchasing more from his online store but ultimately Iād love to travel to North Carolina to visit their Store and hopefully meet the 2 of them and their dogs of course! I recommend you browse the online Store website at www.avery Knifeworks.com. Iām certain everyone will find something to buy! Raleigh & Malea thank you so much for your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary in Banner Elk this past January (2024) when we spotted Avery Knifeworks. She practically had to drag me out of the store which wasnāt easy since she was just as amazed at the beautiful array of knives on display. Not only the craftsmanship evident in the blade, but the amazingly beautiful handles! If I could have gotten away with buying more than one knife I would have! One āstyleā of handle in particular really caught my eye but I couldnāt quite determine just what it was. Turned out to be the core of a pinecone embedded in colored resin making an incredible pattern. I eventually settled on a mini-hunter with a handle made from a dyed burl along with a Kydex Sheath. The blade is a CPM3V High Carbon stainless. It looks amazing and though I wear it daily and use it frequently, the edge is just as sharp as the day we bought it! If I can just talk my wife into making this an annual Anniversary gift!!! (Next I want a pinecone/resin handle. If you or someone you know truly appreciates a distinctive and beautifully crafted knife, you cannot go wrong with one of Raleighās creations!!!! I know I will be enjoying mine for many many years to come. Iāll be back...
