We went to the Sauk County Fair held at the county fair grounds. Our family went on a Friday from around 3pm-6pm. Around 3 it wasn’t too busy and my younger kids were able to go on rides their size without waiting. The bracelet / ride pass was worth it if the kids ride at least 7 rides and they easily did that! If you have a baby or small child I would bring a jogger stroller rather than a regular as there are unpaved areas with gravel or grass. The info booth had bandaids, insect repellent, a changing station with diapers, wipes, and a nursing area for moms/babies. It was private and quiet (they hung blankets to muffle the noise) which helped keep my baby focused while the fair was happening. The crowd noticeably picked up after 5pm and there was a tractor pull event that night. We left before the event and were easily able to get in and out. The fair is small and fun.

Sauk Co Fairgrounds is amazing for any occasion, but a special place in our hearts will forever be for 4H animals, Tractor Pulls, Beer Tents, and friends!

Went for the 2021 fireworks display. It was my first time attending this specific event. The fair grounds are large and give many options for setting up your spot. There were a few food vendors and a beer tent.

Two complaints.. the entry way and exit are very small and it really slows down the ability to leave. Be prepared to rub elbows. About 15' from the exit are two lawn chairs and a woman, a volunteer I assume, sitting and watching people leave. There is no purpose for that person to be there. No one could see her until it was too late and you had to move around her and... she couldn't do anything to help anyone if an emergency did happen. It seemed very unsafe. Second is the stadium didn't play the music towards the crowd. No one knew that the national anthem was playing or that there was music playing to the fireworks display. It could have been turned up or at least some speakers could have been moved to make sound for the whole group...

Other than that it was a good event and a...

Crowded! Went to BADGER STATE PULLS. Very disappointing this year! $20 to get in. Only 1 combination entrance/exit to Grandstands! It was ridiculous & extremely dangerous! People were pushing & shoving cuz not enuff room on stairs for 2 way traffic!!! Couldn't get in or out in a timely fashion! Railing only on 1 side! U have 2 other stairways, USE THEM! I'm disabled, & got all banged & bruised up! The pulls were 45 minutes late starting, & TOO SLOW BETWEEN PULLS! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EVENT! PISS POOR...
