Four Star Restaurant — Restaurant in Baraboo

They should change their name to Five Star Restaurant! Place was packed when we stopped in for breakfast shortly before noon this past Sunday. Happily they managed to find a spot for us and took excellent care of us! The staff is fast, efficient and hard working. Place is clean and tables are bussed quickly, everyone seems to work together well. There is a positive, upbeat and fun vibe here which makes the meal even more enjoyable. Our waitress was great-super friendly, helpful and attentive! The food was excellent-fresh, hot, delicious, with generous portions and reasonably priced! The coffee was piping hot, fresh, delicious and refilled as often as we liked! There were so many choices on the menu it was difficult to decide, but they make it a little easier by offering combinations like French toast with eggs and your choice of sausage patty or links or bacon OR same combo but with pancakes instead of French toast, etc. Overall, we had an excellent experience! We were full and very happy when we left so we will definitely be back for more the next time we are in town! We highly recommend this...

My salad was drenched in water, as well it tasted like soap, the it sauce was expired by 2 years the date said “ oct 10th 2023” the sweet n sour chicken was ok but the rice was weird tasting like soap I couldn’t even finish it my stomach started to ache!! As they over charge for a small plate of food like 17.99 for and 13.99 for my fiancée and there specials didn’t go down in price stayed the same that’s what’s got my eye. They over charged for a side of fries it was supposed to be 1.00 but they put on the slip 4.99! And we confronted them and they changed the price but on the menu it said “1.00” like you can’t do that if you changed the price put it on the menu!!! The soda was really flat, the fried tasted like old oil and my spoon had FOOD ON IT STILL FROM WHEN I OPENED UP THE NAPKIN!! 2 or more for tax is crazy and on top of that we asked for the check and another lady came up and asked if we wanted more soda or dessert! Prices were higher than the last time we visited (no surprise) but....if you wanted a burger no fries were included you had to pay extra. Slice of onion? Extra? Slice of tomato? Extra! Order a Mt Dew, they bring Mellow Yellow but don't ask if the difference is acceptable. The waitress?? She was inattentive because she was too busy talking with friends never came by to see if we needed anything when we finally ask someone else for our bill and she finally brought it over, we tried to tell her we were not happy with her service.
