Dollar General — Local services in Barnum

I'm fairly new to the area, so I decided to stop in and see what they carried. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything? As soon as I explained that I was new here and just checking things out, the employee told me if I needed anything to come get her, and went back to stocking the isles. In my browsing, I ran into other employees who were quick to say hi and help out with any questions that I had. And L ke I said, even though I wasn't planning on spending any money, they had plenty of reasonably priced goods (I actually bought some candy and 2 Snapples®), and even though they're not an actual Grocery store, I would come and purchase some grocery products from them, from time to time. Prices on the shelf do not reflect the price it rings up as. On multiple occasions I've purchased items where it's not the same. It's a systemic problem with this chain to deceive customers. Today we wanted an art scratch pad, 6.50 on shelf 7.00 on receipt. Doesn't seem like a lot but broadly across all their chains and Dollar General is ripping off...

My review stars are not based on the service, or the store, but the Dollar General company as a whole. The employees are over worked and underpaid. Stores like these take the money out of the community, and we need that...
