I have an iPhone 6+ which has the touch disease and I didnât pay Apple to store all the precious pictures of my kids so I was all paranoid about losing all my pictures if I canât get into my phone again. First I took my phone to a phone repair store at my town based on their good reviews. It took them a month to look at my phone and at the end they told me they couldnât fix it. So I went to pick my phone back and found out they didnât put back a few screws inside my phone! Not only that, my phone was full of dust meaning my phone just sat there opened for a month! My bf called them up and told them nicely of what we experienced, they put the screws back and apologized. Then a friend of mine referred me to another repair shop in Elgin called âBenâsâ.My bf helped me to take my phone to their shop. The receptionist couldnât answer any of my questions, my bf politely asked whether the Tech could talk to me and explained to me everything she needed to know before we proceeded the repair. The Tech in the store were yelling and told my bf thereâs no guarantee of fixing it, they would charge me no matter what outcome was. The Tech refused to talk to me and let me explain whatâs going on with my phone. My bf left the store and I wasnât happy with the whole attitude they threw at us at Benâs.
Called my local repair store again and asked about how much to replace the ic chip of my phone, they told me to bring the phone in again which I thought they may be able to fix it this time.I was totally wrong! Not only they didnât fix it they messed up my screen even more that the screen were showing âPhone is disabled, connect to iTunes â after I picked it up again. I wasnât happy at all as this could cause more problems to fix it!
Then I researched and found GadgetBar! Reviews were fantastic but still had a little doubt because my local store got great reviews too but they obviously didnât know what they were doing. I checked the website and found out GadgetBar had the cell phone repair certification which I felt more confident that my phone had a hope to be fixed. Drove 40 minutes to drop off my phone to Brian. He explained to me clearly of what I wanted to ask. He followed up with me multiple times and he always had a positive attitude to make me feel my phone can be fixed which he did save my phone! I am so so so happy to have found Brian! He absolutely did care about his customers and knows what heâs doing! Now my 6+ âs screen is fixed and all the pictures are saved! Brian is the hero! His price is very reasonable too! After seeing what a professional tech Brian is, I bought my 8+ for him to replace my battery and he continued to apply his professional skill on my other phone.
Gadgetbar is the only place I will go for if my phone or iPad needs to be fixed! I wonât chance it with other people after the previous bad experiences. You can trust Brian completely with his professional skills and fantastic customer services! Thank you again Brian for all...
Read moreI totally would recommend this place to all my friends . I went in there today regarding my Samsung Note 4 . I was having issues with it and I thought it might have been the battery . So I previously headed up to a Batteries and Blubs in Lake Zurich .. They did a battery test on my Note 4 and said that my battery had a full charge and it must have been another issue . I just want to note that they fix smartphones in there as well . They kind of give me impression that they did not want to mess with my phone . So I just took my Note 4 and left .. So I headed out to GadgetBar in Barrington . I walked in and I met Brian . I told Brian what was going on with my Note 4 . So Brian looked at my phone and noticed the problems that were going on with it .. So he told me that he would probably have to take it apart and he was totally honest with me and said this would be a hard one to do . He also added that there was no guarantees that my phone would be usable again . Just do to the fact that Samsung made this incredibly hard fix . But Brian was willing to give his best . So Looked at my phone and noticed that was flashing anymore and asked me if the guys and Batteries and Blubs even bothered to put a new battery in my phone and I told him no . That just checked my Battery on a Battery Amp and said it read a full charge . So he said that doesn't matter . So Brian switched his Note 4 battery from his showcase display into my Note 4 and it worked fine . So he put my battery into his Note 4 that he pulled out of his showcase and his Note 4 was doing the same thing that mine was doing . So it was the battery all along . I was relived and very happy . I just to say thank you Brian for your help and I would definitely recommend GadgetBar to someone who looking for someone to repair their smartphone or IPhone , Laptop etc ... I will definitely be back again if I am having issues with my phone . So thank you again Brian ...
Read moreI found this place among the slew of gadget repair shops near me through Google search and I am super glad for the recommendation. I called almost 4 places and amongst all of them, this place was the one with the cheapest price quote bar none. I talked to the owner and he's very knowledgeable about what I was looking to get done, which is to repair my MacBook pro screen that was accidentally damaged and Apple was going to charge me $579 to replace it because I just passed My two years warranty on it. Gadgetbar replaced my screen for a mere fraction of the what apple was charging and not only that, it looks brand new on delivery after the repair. I dropped my laptop off on Thursday evening after coming back from work and it was ready for me to pick up the following evening, and my baby looked brand spanking new on delivery, more than I could have asked for. This place deserves 5 stars plus for the excellent service and reasonable price. I don't see myself going elsewhere for any repair gadgets related after this, it's Gadgetbar or nowhere else. Thank you Gadgetbar, you...
