Barstow Amtrak Bus Stop — Local services in Barstow

My husband & I were traveling through Barstow and stopped at the Station. We enjoyed shopping in the stores that carried a variety of products. There was clothing, purses, toys, jewelry, etc. Then we had a delicious meal at the Panda Express. I was tired from a long day of travel & accidentally left my purse. I didn't even realize it was gone til the next morning! I called Barstow Station right away & talked with the owner, Bill Rosenberg. He checked with his manager and sure enough his night manager had received it from an employee & locked it up in their safe. My husband & I drove back 1.5 hrs to get it the next morning. I was so impressed with the owner and his managers, and, of course, the honest employee who turned it in. Nothing was missing! What could have been a tragedy turned out positively due to this ethically run business, starting from the top down. I discovered that his managers have been with him as long as 23 yrs, which speaks volumes about the owner! I had prayed about it too, and believe God also had my back. My aunt and I used to roll through Barstow when visiting family. It's much bigger now. I love the train cars still. Fun place to stop in for a bite and maybe a souvenir. They have a few shops, a liquor store, McDonald's, Subway, Mexican food, Panda Express etc. Biggest thing I see is people can't seem to find the bathrooms. The McDonald's has them on either end next to the soda machines. The women's has a baby changing table and handicap stall. The station had bathrooms on one end by Jed's Jerkey & another set if you go up the stairs by Wetzels. But that one only has 4 stalls. Lol People drive crazy around there so please walk/drive safe! And also people freak when they can't find the exit or the station is closing so where they came in is blocked, so they go out the emergency doors on the train cars and set off the alarms. McDonald's is usually the last place open and their exits are next to the bathrooms/soda machines. Please don't set off the alarms on the train car...

Not only a greyhound bus stop, but a hub for several dining options as well.

The Barstow Station is home to Mcdonald's, Subway, Panda Express, Dunkin' Donuts, and a few other shops inside. If you're looking to get some souvenirs from Barstow area, you'd do best to stop inside the station so that you can get some pretty neat items.

There is a bathroom in this station located right next to the indoor McDonald's restaurant and it is free for men and women to use.

There isn't really much to say except that Barstow in general attracts a very odd crowd so you should expect to see some very interesting folks coming and going...
