I'm titling this "You sucked, but it worked out." So I went by this store a couple weeks ago in search of a reclining loveseat and looking to arrange payments that will suit my income, as I'm on disability. My credit is good, so that shouldn't have been a problem. And I was looking for something that was sturdy. Real wood. Went through the process only to be told that Synchrony didn't accept my request for credit or whatever and told I should just go to American Freight again (which I refused to do since they tried to add an extended warranty that I didn't want). Well it worked out, because I went to Hank's Fine furniture, where the salesman was willing to upend a seat to show me that the furniture was solid white oak, worked with my budget. I had never been to an Ashley store before. I was met and greeted at the door by the manager David. He told me about the Ashley product and how proud he was to represent it. He just let me look around the store which is how I prefer to shop. I found the one I liked and sat down. I was asking David questions and the sales person (Charity) said Hey, I have that couch and I love it. When she was done with her customer she sat down with us and told me the ins and outs. Charity was a true ray of sunshine. She worked extremely hard to get me the payment I could afford. I ended up ordering an extra piece. I have no doubt about the quality of the furniture and I know if there was a problem, they would take care of it!! Ashley will be the only place I will buy my furniture from today on. The sales lady was fine but everything else went south. Picked out a couch,love seat,and chair with ottoman as a set. Also ordered a recliner. Almost $4K. Delivered the loveseat and chair the following week. Worst upholstery job I have ever seen on the loveseat. They finally came and picked it up for reworking.Most was fixed but still have to put against the wall so you can't see the back of it. When the couch finally came it had the same problems but it has to sit out where it can be seen. The recliner was back ordered so they talked me into ordering a different one. This one is now coming in mid. January which is later than the original one would have arrived. They have had my money since the first week in Sept. so that will be almost 5 months if it comes then.
