I used to get my hair done at guys and gals and I liked to use their spray tan. It was odd because I would always get the same thing done to my hair and the price kept going up every time I went. First it was around $80 and got up to approx. $120. Make sure you keep track of everything they do and everything they charge you for if you go here.
Supposedly their spray tan machine broke and I guess they never got it fixed (before they got rid of it) because after waiting and stopping by repeatedly I finally left my number and asked for a call when it was fixed. I never received a call.
For the last 2 weeks I have been going by looking for their open sign to be on which apparently isn't working either. Becky Weberding at the front desk was 99.9% of the time grumpy and rude so I was actually pretty thankful she wasn't there when I decided to stop even though it looked like they weren't open. Cassie Lamping was there and super sweet, but unable to help me with their new point system and how my points from the old point system transferred. I was debating on using some of the services at their salon and purchasing product, even after bad experiences there.
I left my number and received a call back next day from Tamara (Tami) Lamping. Tammy was rude and as the owner she should have been able to explain how points that were accrued transferred to dollar or percentage savings towards products or services. She was only able to tell me that if I spent a dollar I got 10 points, but the 10 points aren't worth a dollar and she couldn't tell me how the points that I accrued transferred to something I could actually use ("the computer does it all" she said).
She also acted like I was a complete bother because I hadn't signed up and transferred to their new point system when they had transferred to it. She wouldn't let me get a word in. Excuse me for taking my time to decide if I wanted to spend $20 to sign up on your new point system or spend my hard earned money in your salon.
Bottom line, Ms Lamping you can stick my old 663 points where the sun doesn't shine because I have had it up to here with your rudeness and will never waste my money in your over priced...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI should have quit after my first bad experience, but with limited options in the area, I tried again, new stylists, different treatments, different times of DAY, and I have never been satisfied. Beyond the bad hair coloring, mani/pedi that looked like it was done by a five year old, and an eyebrow waxing that I had to go home and clean up, my most recent experiences were a haircut (a simple long bob) and an eyebrow waxing appointment with their "great" esthetician.
After my haircut (which took over an hour), Cassie told me "If it's uneven, just come back and I'll fix it. These are hard to cut. But not next week. I'm going on vacation." WHAT? If it's UNEVEN? And it's a bob! How hard can it be? And lo and behold, when I straightened my hair that weekend, it was a full inch shorter on one side than the other. Rather than waiting a week, I spent MORE money to have it fixed elsewhere.
Saturday's eyebrow wax was much the same. I told Angie that I prefer my brows thick, I just wanted them cleaned up around the edges. Not only do I have thin, short brows that I now have to fill in with pencil, one is actually SHORTER than the other, a problem I didn't notice until I got home from work that afternoon. (I also noticed that the wax had caused me to break out badly, often a sign of dirty waxing tools!)
When I called the receptionist that afternoon to speak to a manager, she told me that she was sorry, but there was nothing she could do and she was not going to contact anyone to help me. I just paid $30 to have half an eyebrow removed! And there's nothing you can do?
I'm not above paying premium prices for quality treatments, but I will no longer pay those prices to be disappointed. I'd rather spend the extra money on the drive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI initially only posted a one star rating in order to be polite and not air my issue out publicly on the internet⦠Then my rating was responded to by saying I havenāt been there since February, so I feel I should explain that so that the wrong impression is not given. I did get my hair colored in February and it did not come out well. I attempted to reconcile the issue, but was told that I could not be serviced by a different hairdresser, and that was nothing against the nice lady that did my hair. I was just not comfortable honestly. I ended up wasting more money having to go to a different salon to get my hair fixed, where she saw my reference photo and was shocked by how far from my request my hair had turned out⦠I understand that hair doesnāt always do what itās supposed to, but this was just beyond the threshold of error. I believe it was more along the lines of what the stylist thought would look best in my hair rather than what Iād requested. I am 100% a non-confrontational person which is why I took my business elsewhere and opted not to further the issue. As for why this review is happening months from the occurrence, well itās because this business popped up for a review on Google and I still have a sour taste in my mouth from that experience even though it isnāt recent. Otherwise everyone is generally friendly, but personally I will never bring my money...
