northland plaza is dead Chiefs is SOOOOOOO. OVERPRICED and only people who Have to shop there shop there. the parking areas are full if pot holes and.in serious need of re.surfaacing. family dollar sucks and the people are not knowledgable.and.rude. dollar store better ,polite people but store always in disaray checkout people are really slow iv e been in there and there are 15 or more in line. where are the mgrs. or other staff? PROBABLY on there phones or out back smoking ?????? but nicer.more friendly people. I refuse to even go into city triends as my experience with the chain in other cities is they sell knockoff products that fall apart. cant coment on anything else. people i do speak with go further away for better PRICES QUALITY PRODUCTS and PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Read moreReally only go here for Ollie's Bargain Outlet, so I can't say as I pay much attention to the rest of Northland Plaza. The bowling alley has been closed for quite a while, and others seem to come and go. Ollie's, however, has been there for years. I will say that you need to be somewhat mindful of the fact that some offers in foods may be close to expiration. Aside from their staples, you really can get good deals there. Thing is, for the truly great ones, you have to go at the right time, and when this is, is rather hard to say. Overstock, close-out, and discontinued products are bought by the trailer, and distributed over the stores. The selection tends to have dwindled by the time these products...

But Northland is literary a shell of what it was.In its hayday.I grew up 3 blocks North of it.Saw it being built in 1963.& saw how busy it was &hung out there as a kid.& my parents shopped there. every store was full of people.The Pattle ,Hagg. Drugs.Pangles Market.Moores. Fruegh bake shop Woolworths Krogers Wells& shops in between& the bowling ally was always packed.& before that ..& Westgate & the Malls we all went down town Just another example of change.& the new ways...
